Hellp with Supersoil/added too much humic acid

I'm doing a 1/3 batch of Subcools supersoil mix using roots organic and got the ingredients mixed up and accidently added 1/3 cup of humic acid instead of 2tsp. I have the soil brewing, any suggestions? Do I need to dump and start from scratch?

I don't think it matters. I think you can just continue with your grow-maybe 'cook'/compost your soil a little more than the recommended 30 days?

You should be good. Humic acid helps your micro herd and helps make nutrients available to your plant.

Humic acids are primarily found in manure, peat, lignite coal, and leonardite. Leonardite is a highly oxidized form of organic matter and the source for our humic acids. Humic acids work great as a food substrate and food for beneficial microorganisms in your compost tea. Humic acids have been shown to increase seed germination rates and percentages, assist in breaking up compacted soils and clay, assist in transferring micro-nutrients from the soil to the plant, and enhance water retention. If you are having disease problems or wish to increase the fungal component in your tea, adding humic acids can help.
So you should be ok and go on as normal. You will be super happy with SS good luck.

Only thing is your soil will tend to be acidic but do not freet the microbes will bring it back in line.

When microbes break down the humic there is a very high cation exchange capacity (or ability tomobilize calcium, potassium, and other cations as plant nutrients). The best way to increase the catation exchange is to raise the humus content.
