Hello there!!!

Hi my names Drew. Im not a big smoker nor am I a "weed" grower, but I do grow other plants. Im in middle of trying to keep a particular Orchid I have growing inside during the winter months. I have a mold problem.( have a thread on it) and my buddy told me you guys have all sorts of DIY ways of dealing with plant health issues. I just thought id stop and introduce myself. As now I am wanting to smoke a tree myself and havent smoked in 3 yrs lol. good goin guys!!!!

Yeah! If you're gonna dangle orchids, you should make them pretty.

That's the plan! Im also getting into Bonsai. Relaxing...

I have some family members and some friends who are orchid nuts.

Lol!!! I just got into gardening 2 yrs back. Needed something to do around the house to keep me out of my G/f's hair lol.

orchids are my favorite type of flower but no one sells them where i live.

I got mine from my brother's wife's grandmother. She has a huge Botanical Garden. She's how I got into gardening. She needed help with hers and I needed a job. Wish I would stayed around to see what she did during the winter. I cant seem to find ne resourses on growing in confined spaces. All I find is greenhouse this and that.

Eh not really just takes love. If you love something it's not hard work. I'm just glad i dont have the same issues as all of you do...

lol no just saying im not growing ne thing illegal. So heat isnt a problem for me. As is smell. The list can go on and on lol.

Oh! Ok, I have a friend (paleoclimatologist) who's now doing his post-grad at UT Austin. He's built himself an orchidarium. I think it's a 70gal aquarium that he's outfitted. He grows some rather small species, if I recollect. I'll have to dig up his thread on my reefkeeping site.

Here you go: 70 gallon rainforest orchidarium journal. He can be acerbic at times, but I am SO proud of him, he's come such a long way since we first met (online, this is the same website where my husband and I met as well, and we both got to meet Chris last year).

You should be able to view the full thread without registering. If it were in The Sump, then you'd have to be registered. And mentally prepared.

lol. Alright thank you. Yea I found some ppl have no patience for someone less experienced... I'm in no way a "pro" grower but my buddies wife did send her mother over to hack my garden up when they got married. So i like to think i do somewhat an ok job lol
