Hope these pics shed a little light for you. It's a trailer, one of the spare room and basically two walls are made up of the room, and we added pvc pipes and plastic to make the last two walls. It's about 4x6 or 7. 5ish feet tall. With the 12 cfls we have now it is 77 to 79 consistently. I'm planning on keeping the cfls for popcorn like you said. I was going to get 2 300 watt full spectrum leds. We are going to keep around 9 to 12 plants in for flowering and I have a 35 tent that is 18 inches deep that is going to be used for veg. Cfls most likely with that. I'm almost feeling like a veteran now. My next goal is some kind of dwc which will be waaaay different from soil and I'm not sure it's a good idea yet. I don't live on site but my friend does. So if anything goes wrong it will be a day or so for me to check it out if I did dwc. Anyway that's where I'm at id, really want it to be warm outside

Yeah, the LED'S do really do super good IMO. Im SO happy I was gifted the one I am using. Did a grow journal for a LED company & they sent me a system for free. :) certainly cant beat that. haha

Doing great on my first grows I think.
Looks super good 2 me!! :)

Im doing something similar but instead of free i got a redeculously good price i think. And theyll hook it up too cause im doing the journal and advertising them too. Its HouYi lights and theyre based in China. I have heard bad things about chinese lights but one of their reps sent me a 26 page tech guide and woow they spent some serious time on them and quality. The ones i got are 9 band 300 watt (100*3watt) solid aluminnum frame 3 fans too super quiet. My favourite part is the rep came out to me and said their lights were custom built for cannabis growers, i didnthave to pry or feel awkward trying to figure it out. 2 lights for well under 250 is a win in my book. Imm have to try to draw a schematic to show where i have the lights but we are running
2 300 watt led
1 75 watt cfl blue spectrum
15 26 watt cfl.
Good lord thats a lot of lights! Now where on the cfl do i look to see what lumens range it is, or whatever number im looking for? 10 of the cfls are the daylight blue looking ones and the rest are the slightly reddish ones. Trying to attach some pics. Ill probably add them later.

The lumens are what your looking to increase, not wattage. ;) I'm sure you must know that by now though. Bad thing about LEDS is the fans seem to go out allot, and also the ballasts. Its hard as hell to locate them (ballast) *some brands if they do end up going out.

I'm a first time grower with a few questions, just transplanted and have been noticing a few things definitely slow grow but i figured they're adjusting, did notice a possible sex? Could anyone message me and i can give the description in detail?
*Also its the first new thread on this newbie thread which has the description and some pictures

The lumens should be clearly posted on the box, and or some have it wrote smack on the end of the bulb, or towards the socket of the bulb. If you dont have the packaging, then tell me again if you have exactly what type & I will see if I can locate what your working with, and I should be able to let you know exactly just how many lumens your pushing vs the # of plants your running, and or are wanting to run.. :??:

The skinning on the stem is normal its the plant growing bigger. Happens to me all the time.

I will get some pics later. I see a couple numbers when i look.
This is an example of a smaller bulb from my house. Ill get the real specs later tonight for you.

14W 0.230A 2700K
Lumens: 900
120V 60Hz

So the lumens on this bulb are clearly marked. What is the 2700K number? Right now after culling the *sniff* 4 males we have 11 left (3 of the males were 1M tall so i am sad) hopefully i remember some kind of tape measure tonight. Any other info you would like about them? Feeding, size, etc? I should have more notes

So the first is the little things that at first looked like pollen sacks, to my newbie eyes, but again its only been a little over 2 weeks,
Second is the stem that looks like its shedding, which i'd think is good right, if the underside is green?
second two are the next morning i fed them 1/2tsp FF grow what do you think?
Looks good 2 me. pollen sacks you say :??: lol Where :??: I certainly didn't see nay pollen sacks. lol

Yeah, be sure to post finding so we can figure up just how many lumens your pushing. ;) Also to answer your :??: Your 2700K is your color temperature.

So then another question. What color temp should i run? I read that with cfl a mix is good. Im uaing cfl as support light since i have 9 band leds for main lighting.
So lumens i add up
Coloe temp is just a number and i dont add it up

Mike, a mix with 6000K would be nice, but usually guys do what they want!
6000K is most commonly used for vegging, while 2700K for flowering!

No, you can not add up color temp, just lumens. Just keep in mind though, the further your lights are from your ladies, the lesser your lumens!

Cheers!

Ill be taking pics tonight. My cfls are actually inside the canopy. I have cages on some so the dont burn leaves. Ive never done id with cfls or anything else so i feel green at this but we are doing good. I never paid attention to cfl specs before
