Good news! The Willie Nelson turned out to be female! Allright!

So they're both trained and doing well. You can see the sidebranching after a few days (pic 2, 3). I wanted to show a picture of them all but my camera took a dive.

The last two pics show a technique I came up with myself. Maybe it's been around but I've never seen it. I call it 'leafing' (after pruning). Basically once the stretch is over and bud sites are in place I selectively take off leaves blocking them. I do not advocate ripping off a bunch of leaves, read this carefully. The loss is few and choices carefully made. These pics are a good example of what I mean.

I prune out my 'loser' buds which are branches that don't have a chance, but if I can train them where light's hitting them I save 'em. If you can support the plant, the plant will support the buds. ;)

See i tend to disagree about the hydro thing. My plants are only 32 days old as well and are just as big if not bigger than his pic of one month old. I know neither is better than the other. You can get just as good results from soil as you can hydro and vice versa. Its just a matter of preference. Now, some aeroponic setups will fucking get huge fast! That doesnt mean they will have bigger or better buds, it just means they get there faster. But to each their own. I plan on trying hydro some day, but right now i kinda like doing organic soil. Anyways, awesome plants dude. Nice clean set up too.

Oh, and this "leafing" as you call it, i do that too. But i dont call it anything. Its amazing how fast those little leaves will grow and bush out when you take the bigger leaves off and out of the way. I accidently snipped one of the very top fan leaves off of a plant while topping and now that one side has exploded with those smaller leaves coming through. They 2 sides look totally different.

Um. I checked out your pics and frankly I don't know how you arrived at that conclusion. But until you and I get rulers out and measure height and width with chronographs I am not getting into it. If you think you're better, cool.

The soil I did was terrible. I had never tried and used the advice of a dude I semi trusted (still tries to push product) at the hydro store. So I would never call this a good comparison.

But in the end I haven't seen the budsize from soil compared to hydro (xcept outdoor) but since we're about the same way along maybe you'll prove me wrong.

Hydro has proven itself with vegetable and flowers compared to soil. Ounce for ounce it's the most efficent way. How is marijuana the exception?

As far as leafing, I was pretty sure someone else did it, but I've never seen a post on it by anyone so I thought it was cool to share w/ pics. A name is just to help people identify a technique. It's why you call it pruning, not "take the branch of the plant thingy" . No big whoop.
