Hey all, been visiting for a while and decided to join. I wont be the annoying newb as I have been looking through this forum since I started my grow.

I just wanted some advise on my baby. Shes going to be 4 weeks this sunday, and to me, she looks stretched!

The hood light is already all the way up. I have the AG 3. I want it to fluff up a bit. I havent been adding much nutrients which could be a problem. Today I added a whole tab. I'm using the tomato kit

If I tilt the plant, would that inhibit the plant to grow more of the sides?

Do you have any extra CFL's? AG hood is good for like the first 2 weeks, but after thatyou should add more lighting, you add a tab every week, just crush it up and pre mix into the water you will fill up the AG with take a look here as well, good luck https://www.rollitup.org/aerogardeners/158000-aerogarden-guide.html

I decided to take the stretch plant and put it in dirt.

How many CFLs do you think I need for one plant?

1 6400k light? or 2 bulbs that add to 6400k?

The strain is indica, but do not know the actual name of it.

6400k would be the color temp in kelvins.

Lumen is the measurement of intensity.

Technically you can grow a plant from seed to harvest with a single CFL.

It'd be optimal to keep the entire plant's foliage within the desired range for the specific lumens/wattage of the CFL, as referenced by this chart I made:

At least 5000 ft candles from every angle between base & top. 20k-40k ft candles would probably be ideal.

Benefits are seen up to 60k(especially Sativas).

Alright...

I am now running 2x23w soft white and 2x27w daylight, plus the stock AG bulb.

Tried taking out the plant from the AG but the roots are all tangled with the other plants. So I just left it in there.

Bought the timer to set it for 18-6 of light.

I should see it bush up a bit in the next month.

I rather just keep this thread my journal. I will post up some better pix. Right now I am on day 5 of flowering. I can already see the nodes coming out from the main stem.


I changed up the nutes as well. The stock AG tomato nutes only had 5% nitrogen which made me think there was a lack of it. I started adding some miraclegrow tomato fert. Like 3 pinches of it in a 20oz bottle everyday (she drinks a lot). Looks a lot more alive! She's a little over 22 inches which I think is freakin huge!

I might just tied it to the side because it cant get any taller (or will it during flowering?)

so its in day 11 in flowering and i see little balls near the nodes. very small ones like pimples lol. and on some i see pistils with white hairs coming out.


it could be a hermie.


i think i might give up the AG grow soon and just go with dirt.

and everytime i wanna take pix something is always missing. either it be batteries or memory card.

That sucks man, I think I have a dude also. Also camera problems too. shit!
good luck. Try one more AG grow before you ditch it.

I can try again. I did stress the plant out in some instances. plus i started to flower it too big. it drinks 30oz of water a day and the AG 3 reservoir is too small.

i will try it one more time. without the mistakes hehe

keep the light much closer and it wont stretch. maybe tie it down a bit. ive had a lot of success doing it that way

but today i saw white hairs on some of the tops.
and right beneath there are little balls

im wondering if i can remove the small balls?
