HEIGHT ISSUES, HELP PLEASE

Hi everyone. So my plants started to flower about a week ago and are still growing as well and there is a distance of 9inches between the light and tops of the plants and i cannot raise anymore. Its a viparspectre 300w led light, are they going to be okay or do i need to do something, cheers

you can just top them. they'll distribute that energy to the other tops. i've done this plenty of times and never sacrifice in yields. however, they're going to keep stretching for at least a week most likely... so choose your topping location wisely! account for some additional stretch. the method is to remove as little as possible and even the canopy out as much as possible

edit: by other tops i mean the other lateral meristems on that stem

Bend them over and tie them down. only other option other than chopping them.

Thanks, They are autos though, will this not effect them?

i have no experience growing autos, but in theory it should work just the same. hormones (lack of them from cutting the apical meristem) should trigger the distribution of energy to the other meristems. but maybe someone who grows autos could clarify that further.

But they are looking healthy though

oh hell, you aren't gonna stretch much more beyond that at all. i'd just rock that and bend them over slightly if you start to notice anything negative.

Unaware how far from the ceiling you are, but I made new short hangers for mine so I could get my lights within inches of the ceiling of my tent. Alot of lights come with hangers that keeps them a foot or 2 away from the ceiling.

Just bend them over don't cut your autos
