Heated and pressed kief, anyone make it?

Hello RIU,
I smoke my bud every way joint, bong, bowl I like them all.

Does anyone make heated and pressed hash?

I gather 2grams of kief from my grinder once a month.
I pour this into a wrapper from a cigarette pack.
Fold and tape closed, add 2 layers of paper each sealed w tape.

Wet the bundle Thoroughly and place in oven or toaster oven at 200-210 degrees, I leave it for 15 minutes.
( I use an electronic thermometer to verify my temps)
Remove and use a rolling pin or round object to flatten package.
Throw it in the freezer for a hour, then take it out and remove the paper and then cut away the cigarette wrapper over a plate to catch any flakes.

I can then warm it in my palms and press it all into a single large marble.

The end product tastes good to me it is like a low grade old school hashish.
(Nothing tastes as good as real hash IMO)

I have a similar method. I pour all the kief I have into a pile on some cling wrap and wrap it in the saran in a small pocket. I then take the saran pocket and wrap it in a plain piece of paper/newspaper and soak it in water. Then use an iron on low heat and press the soaked bundle, flipping it frequently until all the water evaporates. Then check on your kief to make sure it's adequately stuck together and a little darker in colour. The saran will have shrunk, then cut an edge of your saran packet and peel back the wrap to reveal your hash!

I absolutely love pressing my kief into hash. It is a delicacy, imo. Various methods, everyone seems to have their favorite. I use wax paper folded over several times and a flat-iron to press the kief into hash. It smokes so nicely, I often prefer "solo" hash over just topping a bowl. bongsmilie Cheers everyone !

I put my hash in between a piece of folded parchment paper
fill up a glass bottle with hot water then close the cap

next, using the glass bottle i press and roll the hash as if it were dough
then I roll the hash back into itself and repeat the process a few times

did you watch that weirdo on youtube that says sellotape in that really cool way ?

you do not have to heat it up, you can skip all those stages and just press it together
since you have such a small amount anyway

it will turn brown/black as you press it , takes 30 seconds if that

Lol I just toss grinder kief on top of a bowl and smoke it.

Maybe I'm missing out on something by not pressing it?
My gf asked the same question. We normally used to just top our bowls with kief, but when you press a piece of hash and just "throw a SLAB" into your bowl smoking it "solo" (without any weed) -it is absolutely yummy. No green material, just the "essence of cannabis" in your bowl. Tasty, and potent enough to lay down a hippo:-) I MUCH prefer smoking finger, scissor, or kief hashish to dried flowers these days.

Dude, instead of cleaning your grinder, try using dry-ice and a "bubble-bag" - lets say 160 micron size. You will get an Unreal amount of keif that will tower over those 2 grams. :peace: Various sized bags on the market-

whenever i clean my grinder's pollen catcher i will just put some in the corner of a sandwhich baggie and twist it real tight into the corner then rub it on my pant leg...same thing as you are doing but less hassle for myself

I used an Iron and parchment paper last night, it was done in 2 minutes flat.
Much easier than the wrap 3 x and use "celo tape" method.

Ha ! - I like that Urban, I guess it would do the same as pressing it the "traditional way".

Just ran my lemon kush buds through a grinder and got a nice amount of golden-blonde keif. SUCH a nice change from what we were smoking before (mid-grade bullshit that dropped brown/green "kief" ). This blonde gold is soo tasty and Potent / Yumz :weed:

yeah skunk just put the kief in a the corner of a sandwhich or grocery type bag push it into the corner and then twist the bag in the corner to get your pressure on the kief and the rubbing creates the heat....FYI may wanna double bag should you try it in case you get a tad aggressive on the rubbing and end up with a shit stain on your pant leg,

can't for the life of me find the vid that i got it from but if i do ill stop by and post it

LoL, Thanks dude, I just "rubbed" about 1.2g of blonde-ass kief in the exact manner you described. Worked well in just a few minutes. Puffing on a chunk of it now... Nice ! bongsmilie

Finger hash AKA DNA hash ... I say damn, It sounds like all you guys go for the hardest way of doing this!? Why not make a Tumblr and use a TP 3.5 along with a small torch lighter or solder lighter17048085465835337756448529602291.jpg
