HEAT PROBLEM with 2 inline fans?!

I have 1 400w HPS light that hangs just below my 6'' carbon filter that air is being pulled through by my 6'' vortex. I also have a 4'' vortex for my intake. My room is currently at 83 degrees with both fans turned on high. I do NOT have an oscillating fan but I'm pretty sure that the fan would not be the problem of such high temperatures.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

you are exhausting the air?
what's the ambient temps?
with a 6" and a 4" vortex you'll be sucking in small children, i use only a 4" vortex and i run a 600w hps.
In the past i've used a 6" vortex to pull and a 4" inline after the lights on a two 600w hps and a 400w mh all in line.
It was plenty ventilation and i had 90 degree summers, never went over 80 degrees.
Where are you taking the temp at? At ceiling heights it can get pretty hot but plant level should be good with your setup, unless it's not ventilating.

if ur pulling from outside. try switching ur lights to at night when out side temps are cooler. u could be in a old house with no insulation from the heat? in a attic? how far are u pulling the air? if humidy is high it does make temps a degree warmer.
