How many different phenotypes are there of Headband? I just picked up a foot tall clone if Headband from a collective. I was talking with the owner and he said theres two phenotypes of it, the 707 and another one called the blue pheno is this true? I picked up the blue pheno of it, its tall and lanky with pretty thin stems. Im growing it out as a mom as its my favorite sativa strain im also working on a sour og mom.

We have a Blueberry Headband that goes around here...I'm not sure if thats what you have or not.
I grow Headband too, for over a year now,...and then I grow Blueberry, but I've never had the Blueberry Headband ...lol...I need to cross my two.
HB is my favorite

I'll post up some pictures in a week. When i got the clone it wasnt in the best condition because the owner was out of town for 4 days and hes the main caretaker of the clones at the shop. it was fully rooted in a dixie cup in coco and i just transplanted it into a gallon pot with roots organics soil, i spread some roots organics oregonism xl on the root ball and mixed in sunleaves mexican bat guano and oregonism xl into the soil. its already perked up and is starting to look better.

usually they label it the blue pheno because thats the color sticker used to represent THAT pheno. IDK if there are different pheno types of headband. But I have bought clones labeled the same way. In fact they had multiple strains labeled with different colors and that color directly corresponds to a specific mother plant. They could have used yellow or pink or green. They chose blue. They could have used numbers. It usually never has anything to do with a cross unless specified. It's simply a label in order to help keep track of things.

I just got back into town but now my little clone has grown into a 3 or 3-1/2 foot mother. took clones a couple weeks ago using an oxyclone, the oxy clone is pretty much an over glorified version of a diy bubble cloner. I usually use a couple ez-clone 30's, But he bought this thing for 60 bucks tried it once and had a zero success rate. i asked if i could use it to see if what kind of rate i could get. I think im pretty good at cloning my success rate its 85% or above with the oxy cloner i got 88%. I modified it quite a bit, it came with two wimpy air stones and a crappy recirculating pump, and the foam pucks were way to tight around the stems its a harder foam too. I put 4 medium round air stones in it with a active aqua/air 4 outlet air pump, i also cut notches in the pucks so it wasn't to tight around the stems. solution was clonex solution, pbp bloom, and superthrive.

I will be starting a grow journal very soon, its gonna be an organic grow from here on out with roots organics soil and nutrients from roots organics(grow,bloom,trinity,hp2) and humboldt nutrients (deuce deuce, humic acid). I'll be sure to post a link to it here.

the real 707 headband is ''the shit'' lost my mom & bought more babies at a sac. club they had the look but as i grew it out it wasnt even close to what i first had

I have been looking into headband for my next grow so I learned some facts. I believe the Original head band was from the 707, this strain is ( (OG Kush X Sour Diesel) X Sour Diesel).
This strain then re-bred down into the second "true" version of (OG Kush X Sour Diesel), so it grows a little less like the original sour D. There is also Master Kush X OG Kush X Sour D, it is very similar but I am not sure if it is considered one of the original.
:peace:

i have buddies who've grown the 707 cut straight from humboldt county, from the first town north of arcata cant remember the name. ive been humboldt myself and know a few people that go down to help with outdoor season, i know a few growers there as well. im not growing that cut of headband tho, i should be. i tried to get some headband clones down there a couple months ago but the 3 people i know didnt have any clones ready and i didnt want to drive a fresh cutting 10 hours. i hope to get a 707 cut here from a buddy soon tho.

Also my buddies who've seen it grown or grown it themselves have seen my headband and say it looks like headband to them, same growth pattern, same node spacing roughly. But then again i could flower it out and it could be change completely. I also regret to inform you i went outta town last weekend for 3 days, Left my room mates in charge (i keep a couple moms and clones at my place, all legal & under our max number by 10) the batch of headband clones i was telling you about got neglected and most of them looked like they were goners, I got 3 left that look like there gonna pull through. So what this means is ill have 3 headband clones that ill veg out longer while i clone yet another batch of headbands, i also just traded a headband clone for 2 purple urkles, i will be growing out one for flower and one for a mother. It looks like 4 plants will be a little more beast then the others, which is not bad in my opinion. More bad news! when i came back i saw my headband mother that is now 3'10" has a minor mite infection, No signs of webs just scattered life doting. I removed allot of the infected leaves and allot of undergrowth, Pretty much lolloping the shit out of it but hey its a mom so no big deal. I also have been treating it with azamax for the last 4 days, haven't seen any new spotting since then i caught it in the very early stages i couldn't see to many mites under the leaves with my scope, no webs what so ever.
