Haze berry grow journal; road to a gaint

Hey guys,

I've been planning on making a grow journal for a long time, however, I was too lazy to start one. Now that I have some material to start with, i decided to finally make it.

First off, the information:

- I've got a grow tent in my basement (60 cm on 60 cm on 180 cm). I chose this location for it's temperature
and the ventilation. The tent has a 250 w hps with all standard equipment (fan, little fan, mylar, adjustable hangers etc.).
- A root pouch (comparable to the smart pot). The roots get lots of air in combination with the light soil mix I put into it. The drainage is awesome as well; makes flushing a breeze.
- Some standard grow nutes and biobizz bloom nutes (along with all sorts of hydrophonic nutes i got with the tent package; should help if I get a deficiency of some sort as it contains Pk booster, CalMg etc.).
- A tachyon disc (don't know if any of you know it). Decided to put this under my pot to potentially boost my plants grow rate and yield a bit.

To start off, in this first post i'll put pictures i've made in the plants life course (approx 1 month).

The close ups you see of the top was a FIM attempt, which unfortunately failed. In the tenth pic you can see the progress of the TOPping attempt I did later (it's working out well I guess).

Furthermore, a week ago (a week from the latest pic) I did an attempt to defoliation. Many people find it to be controversial, but my results are speaking for themselves I suppose. I did my first defoliation a few days before the tenth pic was taken. I personally believe in this technique and plan on doing this all the way to the harvest.

Anyway, every few days I will update this with pictures, be it with succes, problems, doubts or whatever, as this is only my second grow...i can use all support I can get :)

Background info:

Last summer I did my first grow. This consisted of 10 regular skunk-haze plants, from which i kept 3 after i sexed them (gave 2 away as it is only legal to keep 1 for each 18+ person in your hosuehold). These ended up okay (got 25 grams of them). This is only normal as they were autoflowers and they were grown with the full aid of mother nature. It was fully natural and tasted fantastique :D

Because the weather here can be unpredicatble, I chose to buy a tent and continue growing indoors.

Now, please, anything.... ranging from tips to critique to compliments or whatever, post away :D

Here's the haze berry two days later, look at that difference though!

Question: it has some burned tips and edges, is thus due to nutes? I've stopped nuting for a good week now, should i hold it for like a week longer before continuing?

This is again a few days later, she is thriving now ( i think due to the flush).
I'll keep the nutes on hold for two weeks i think and continue after :)

I'm sorry if I missed it but where are you in your grow? I wouldn't hold off the nuts but rather start at half or third strength and work up depending on her uptake.
She is really an amazing looking plant tho so great work so far. Looks very strong and stout. Did you top, fim or what as far as pruning?

Yeah well, in the beginning i feeded her multiple times a weed but i soon realised it was too early and too much so i pretty much stopped
doing that right away. From then on I feeded her once a week at half the dose but i think maybe thos early nutes are still in the soil a bit. That's why i wanna
hold it off a bit so I can start fresh again.

Anyway, i'll feed her again tomorrow at a third of the dose and continue going upwards from there. Thanks for the help :)

btw she's about a month and a half old now.

oh yeah and i topped her after a fimming attempt failed. i plan on topping her again soon, but not only the main cola but the others as well (there are many big tops atm).
Should i do this or stick to the main cola for topping?

K so now that you are saying you flushed, I wouldn't stop feeding rather just do it every few waterings which is what most people do.
Also I'm not sure if you have ever done this before, but the scrog method would work great with your setup and maximize your yields since you are only growing one plant.

Alright I think you're right. Ima top all my big sites right now so it'll bush out and then i'l let it grow for a few weeks again. I'll go to a DIY store and buy a net for scrog.
Wonderful idea, i'll keep you updated ;)

btw, my tips are still starting to turn a bit yellow so I think i'll just put the nutes on hold anyway?

Here is she a few days later: topped all her bud locations and lollipopped her a bit. Also, i removed all inner leaves that get no light :)
Gonna get a screen in a few days for scrog

here are we, almost one week later :) the topping seems to work out fine ( the little shoots are growing pretty fast).
I'm going to wait one more week untill i start feeding again though.
anyway, i might not get the screen inmediatly because i want to let this girl grow some more untill i do that.

i hope you guys are enjoying :)

aight, drastic change of plans. Untill now, i had heat issues so i always left the door of my tent open. Temperatures ranged from 29-32 degrees celcius.
Now, I decided to grow two new plants (royal caramel and pineapple kush) and with that, I decided to drop my temperature (as it slows the plants growth severly).
I put my extraction fan back in my tent, so that it extracts the hot air from the top and moves it directly through the vent in my basement. While doing that, the tent sucks in fresh air from the bottom gaps in the tent.

And it works! My temperature is now around 25 degrees celcius with the choice to adjust it (with previously had not). The seeds are ordered, so they should be here in a few days.
The green pot is what I plan on using for the two aditional plants (they won't grow too big, and I know that).

Cheers :D

6 days later she's doing very well, all topped bud sites are developping extremely fast. Gave her some nutes yesterday and i hope she'll continue this way :)
