Hawaiian Bud

Any seed banks using vague strain names like "Hawaiian" or "Maui wowie" always raise red flags for me because that is basically a marketing term for random bagseed they got in Hawaii.
Hawaii has no landraces but we do have several nice strains that were bred in the islands...I.e. Skunkdog, Johnny D's, puna diesel, dirty widow, etc....
These are all hoarded island strains "homegrown pakalolo".. Uncle not going let it go overseas lol. Especially since even the indicas stay in full veg at 13+hrs of light outdoor. The outdoor island grown gods gift and skunkdog are one of my fav local strains

I agree with maui wowie though, i have tried it from the west coast to the south and the local strain is different, sweet and chemy, lower yielding but fucking potent lol, buddy of mines had his mother over 15 years and WILL NOT give cuts

Does anyone know where the spots are to get some good weed in Honolulu. Looking to get an 1/8. Visiting from Texas and I would love to try Maui waui but I've heard anything is good here.

The strongest herb I ever grew was on Kauai. I nailed a piece of plywood up in a strawberry guava tree behind my tent, then put two plants on there and surrounded it with chicken wire to keep the rats out. Smoking that herb was like being in a movie. I think it was a bubblegum x skunk afghani or something. When I bought the bag that I got the seeds out of, I asked my friend the strain name and he jokingly said "A1 Killers."

You wanna know where the name Kauai Electric really came from? There's a dirt road that cuts through the center of the island from the North shore to the East side called Power Line Trail. It is used by the electric company and locals only. One time I was showing a friend that part of the island, a local pulls up next to us with his wife and kid and says "Get the fuck outta here" in a very savage way. We turned around. Most of the locals aren't that hardcore but this dude was a rabid haole hater.
