Have you tried aerogarden?

I saw this little gadget and I live in a small apartment, so I thought it was a good idea for some weed. It’s very small though, and it uses fluorescent light I believe. But because it requires such little attention I thought it would be nice to have around.
Has anyone tried this? If so, do you have any species recommendation?

If you are talking about an aeroponic garden then yes. It is possible to grow in a small place and produce good fruit. However, keep in mind that something like this will take alot of work. It is not as easy as one two three but it can be done

That thing is overpriced, and will only grow a small plant. Check out GH's Waterfarm, an individual drip system. Last I saw it was around $50.
You'll still have to buy some lights, but you'll be much happier with the results.

My Day one.. and before I continue, I want to send props to Teknique for the awesome info on growing with an AeroGarden. I will be planning on going 12/12 in 2 weeks or 5-6 inches, whichever comes first. Will post pics of my progress when I can.

tek got going man! im on your side, if its done right from the start it works fine.only diffrence i do is sprout my seedlings on paper towels first then put in foam.they come up well and grow like fuck.i also use a small fan blowing across the plants and i leave the small flap on the front open too, it helps with the air flow into the tank.

How does the Aerogarden compare to the Bubbleponic drip system? I heard aeroponics is better bc it allows the roots to obtain an abundance of oxygen its design of hanging roots above the resevoir and watering through the mist timer.

I too have tried this system along with others. My exact thought a small garden for a small area. This system stinks. I wasted expensive seeds with this kit. I'm no green thumb but I can read direction. All of the seeds sprouts and you get excited. Later they go yellow and die. Good luck on your growing with this aerogarden

Jesus fucking Christ. Does anyone actually read any threads before they ask any questions? There is a thousand different threads on the entire Aerogarden grows and this Douche has to ask about it. Sorry, I have had NO weed for a week and am getting irritated easily. I'm sure your a great guy but fucking READ first.

The aerogarden really isn't areoponics, but a DWC, which is why its HIGHLY recommended to add the air stone to it.
