this is my first grow currently growing 5 skunk #1 and 1 tai skunk, i vegged them for 3 week and have been in flower about a week under 600w hps lamp.

question is are my plants budding? i got feminized seeds but cant remember if the free tai skunk seeds from attitude were feminized will i be able to tell if the tai skunk is female at this point?

also how much taller will my plants grow? i put a playing card next to my plants to show the size.

i cant rele tell yet, take a close pic of the nodes of the plant.
also, they grow 2-3 times the height of when you put them into flower.
good luck.

if height is going to be a problem you can probably still tie the main stem and branches down, this should be done in veg as the stalks are more supple, they tend to go woody in flowering, tieing down or low stress training produces much bushier plants and also helps increace yeild as it gives a more even canopy and allows light to penetrate to more bud sites, scrog (screen of green) is also great for increasing yeild and decreacing height, i am on week 6 of flower with my 2 skunk #1 girls, one of which i simply tied the main stem down until it was horizontal and kept it tied until the side branches had caught up heightwise.i will post some pics shortly, there are plenty of guides to LST and ScrOG on tis site.

as for sexing your tai, males usualy show their stuff first, you can always get a 100X magnifying glass and check out the pre-flowers.

Yeah.. do a search on the Thai Super Skunk, man. It gets massive and lanky as hell.. meaning oodles of internode spacing. You will need to read up on supercropping for that plant, if you ask me. I've never grown it, true enough, but I've read enough TSS journals to know its issues because I wanted to research it before just popping my TSS seeds in dirt. For what it's worth, I've also read that the TSS, in particular, is a GREAT smoke and totally worth the wait and hassle. It's CHOCOLATE! ;) Just make sure you're up on all of the training techniques. Youtube has an excellent supercropping video, by the way.

The Skunk #1's are an "average size" hybrid plant, so you should be OK there.

Don't go topping in 12/12 you will stress hard. Lsting is your best bet.
Agreed. Topping is bad in 12/12. LST and supercropping are your best bets.

Also.. supercropping is, essentially, twisting and pinching your stalk up a bit to soften the plant matter inside and just letting it drop over to the side. This does minor vascular damage to the plant, which it can recover from easily. Once you've supercropped your stalks, you can also tie them a bit so that, once the cola is pointing up again, it can only go so far. This way, you can make your 15' plant a liveable 7' and also expose a bunch of the undergrowth, making it all bigger.

Note: I've never had reason to supercrop yet, as I'm working w/ all dwarf Indicas, so I'm just relaying knowledge.
