Has anyone tried Sativex via Vapouriser?

Rather than using it as a spray, has anyone tried spritzing Sativex onto a pad and vapourising it? For instance, the Volcano Medic has instructions for THC solutions in ethanol, so you could take the same approach with the Sativex. I am uncertain how much of the propylene glycol will get vapourised instead of left behind in the pad.

I wouldnt want to vaporize Sativex...it would taste terrible. They add a peppermint-y flavouring to it, which I would think would be terribly gross to inhale.

Yes, that could be a tad harsh. So, any idea if it would be worse than some of the cough syrups I recall choking back as a kid? Or NeoCitran, which makes me gag? After all, it is just peppermint, so other than the menthol and menthone, it has a lot of the same aroma compounds as cannabis.

I've never heard of vaporizing a liquid. The idea behind vaporization is to heat only enough to evaporate the resins, and there are no resins in Sativex, the cannabinoids are suspended in liquid. So bad taste aside, I don't think you would get the same effect as spraying under your tongue.

That's the point, because the sublingual route might not be the best. If you heat it at 100 C for 30" (as per the Volcano Medic's ethanol instructions) you will remove the ethanol but leave most everything else, although I would suspect you would also drive off some of the terpenes from the peppermint and two cannabis extracts that go into Sativex, but likely would not do much to the propylene glycol. Once you shift to the higher temp (say 185 to 210 C), then you'll kick off the THC/CBD (just like you would with herb) and a goodly chunk of the terpenes and propylene glycol. So, the inhalation profile would likely be more like what you would expect if you used an e-cigarette with a propylene glycol medium.
