i had 6 plants in soil with 12/12 from seed and they grew 6inches and 5 were males so right now i have a female going thats 2 months into flowering and still no buds but lots of hairs and leaves growing at nodes, possibly getting about 10grams off it

Here's an idea I got from a friend that I'm seriously considering trying. He said to start seeds on a lighting schedule of twenty hours on and four hours off for the first week. After the first week he cuts down the light down by one hour per week for each successive week which increases the darkness. Frankly I just did the math an it starts to look good. Reducing the lighting by one hour a week means that in nine weeks you would start to force flowering at 12/12. I think that makes sense because in an A/G they'd be plenty big enough force into blooming.

At this point, nine weeks, I'd like to give them another month, four weeks, of flowering before flushing them. He suggested a pre-harvest nutrient flush followed by a secondary ten day flush with pH balanced water only. He claims the end product will be superior to what we're growing now. That moves the harvest date out to fourteen weeks but if the end product is better it might be worth it. Some of you guys that are in a hurry will probably find a way to speed it up but I think I'm going to go with his program and see how it does.

The rationale behind his idea is what's most intriguing to me. He says, "By slowly bringing down the light and increasing the darkness there's less shock to the plants when we change their nutes and force flowering." What do you think people? It makes sense to me.

HSA, that's the legit way to do it. Gradually introducing more darkness is how nature does it, that's how dad did it, and its worked out pretty well so far.
