I asked before if anyone knew about the limit on quantity per month and I was told I misunderstood that section do the act.

"Written Order
Note: Maximum daily quantity of dried marijuana to be used (up to 5 grams/day - not to exceed 150 g/month) by the patient as per Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulations
Indication (Optional)
# of grams (Up to 5) I,
NOTE: The period of use cannot exceed one year &will begin on the day that the document is signed by the health care practitioner
Health Care Practitioner’s Signature
X Date
/day for # of Month(s) (Up to 12)
attest that the information contained in this document is correct & complete."

this is from the doctor application form.

how do we feel about this??

checked out Cannimed and they it's the maximum possession allowed is 150g or 30 times daily amt.

still says to me max of 5g/day

I think you are misunderstanding the details. The max allowed per month is a 9g/day prescription. This totals 270g/month, which exceeds your personal possession amount of 150g MAX at any given time. So your provider would have to plan to make 2 shipments to you in a month, spread out evenly, so that you have consumed the first 150g when the rest is in the mail. That is how HC explained it to me. (granted, I have not read too much of the patient side of the new MMAR regulations...so I may be out to lunch on that one)

READ SMALL SCALE THREAD PAGE 32!

After much discussion and research, we think that the limit for a prescription is 150 grams per day, per LP. Really! HC does not limit scribe size, nor do they limit what doctors and nurses can prescribe. If you read it very carefully, HC only limits what a single LP can ship to an individual and how many grams in a single "box".

In theory LP's could ship 150 grams every day to a patient with a 150 gram a day prescription. 150g/day x 30 days equals 4500g per month or 30 shipments. As long as the patients use it up no laws are broken. (10 pounds a month) ($22,500 per month at 5$/gram)

Consider that with more than one prescription, ordering from multiple LPs becomes an option, so the sky is the limit. Legally the question becomes, how much can an individual use in a single day? That is a cool question that should be answered on a reality TV show. Lol.

Granted this seems ridiculous but that is how the rules read. 150 grams is a shipping/order/possession limit only. In this scenario, the patient would have to order everyday making it impossible from the start, but you see the point, never mind the problem of trying to use that much up, or getting a doctor or nurse to sign off on it, stat holidays, small towns with few couriers and LP's that don't work 7 days a week, etc. etc.

As an LP (hopefully) it would be wise to refuse until HC specifically signed off on it, due to the sheer audacity, we would probably ask HC about 30 g's and up, just to protect our license. Though technically the medical document should be enough.

Off topic, canadians spell Marihuana - Marihuana. Americans use the "J"
