Has anyone flowered out 3500k vs 5000k side by side?

Any difference? Let's not discuss mixing. I mean strictly 3500k vs 5000k/6000k

wondering if I should go with 5000k on my next grow light, not necessarily wondering what is best. I like the visual appearance of 5000k and if there is no real difference then i might just go with that.

i would guess 5000 would have smaller buds that finish faster but quality would be the same. hard to beat the punch of a red spectrum. even the "white" CMHs are 3100K

yes the 4200 is the typical veg bulb for those
anybody flowering is using the 3100K bulb of course these are slightly redder than the 4200K bulbs but compared to an HPS with the 93CRI they are undeniably "full spectrum white light"

i own and run both 3100k and 4200k LECs so please keep your snarky comments to yourself, it tends to discredit any validity to your 'argument'

I Have Done A lot Of research On This Subject. I Even Have Posted Grows Using My 5000K 240 Watt Aquarium Light. I Will Tell Ya That It Adds About 10 Days To Your Flowering Time. Your Ladies Will be Super Frosty But The Most Important Aspect Of The 5000k Spectrum Was That It Kept My Savita's About 18 Inches Shorter. PSST Alittle Teaser About My Next Build Ha Ha :hump:

This Is Why You Should Know What Your Talking About Before Posting

I get that there are thousands upon thousands of growers that just don't buy it, that LEDs can grow great cannabis efficiently & effectively. LEDs run on unicorn farts & voodoo witchcraft that is hard to understand.

But when an HID lamp has stats and spectrum like this :

  • OPEN Fixture rated
  • 1.9 μmol
  • 33,000 lumens (105lm/w)
  • 92CRI
  • 87% PPF maintenance at 20,000 hours
  • how does HPS make any sense?
