Has anyone here added bubblers to their res in a ebb and flow system. i decided to try this and increase the amount of time my water pump stays on. it's been a week since i did this and my plant have grown at least 5 or 6 inches under CFL's, i've had to raise the lights every day. I should mention that the plants were put directly into 12/12 from seeds and after a month and a half 2' +

Its actually reccomended to have air stones or bubblers in your res to add air and keep nutes in the solution. Now 12/12 from seed right away was a bad choice as the plant has to be mature before flowering or it stunts growth, yield and promotes high male outcome or hermies.

yeah i know i had germinated some seeds and just put them in with the rest of the plants. i just wanted to see what would happen. they turned out much better than expected. they have alternating nodes so the plants are mature already.

More oxygen in your water is always a good thing, but an easy alternative to getting an airstone is have the water pump run for a few minutes every couple of hours during the night to oxygenate the water.

I don't get it Big Dan. It's an ebb & flow system. The water pump is going to be doing that anyway.

How does the water pump oxygenate the water? I ask because I do not know.

If you churn water around its going to oxygenated. Its the same way a river or a pond works. The more it moves, the more alive it is. A good way to stir it up is to pump it through the clay balls during the night when you would not normally pump.

Moreover, how the fuck do you know my name? Let alone my "big" moniker.

i never thought i'd find myself saying this but my plants are growing way too much. i went out of town for three days and they are 4" taller. i'm gonna run out of space soon.

always use air stones in the res. 24/7 the more oxygen in your water so much better, fish die without air stones plants will to.
