Has anyone ever purposely grown a really small plant?

potpimp, that will be pretty cool. I'm really liking the idea of having some bonsai plants around.
About a year ago RIU had a contest to see who could grow the best plant in a shot glass. Nobody actually did it but auto flowering was pretty much undiscovered at that time. I've seen some on here that was under 6" high when chopped at full maturity and yielded nearly an oz of super high grade smoke.

from what I see...

either you veg way more...

or...

you can chop the plant about halfway up...

making sure to have nodes (branches) on both top and bottom parts...

sure you can take miniature cuttings...

but I recommend you take big healthy clones only...

here are some of mine....;-)

here... clones.. packed tight in RW cubes..

as the clones get rooted, the get poted into 5.5" square pots...

then the pots are packe in as tight as I can get in my tray...

7 rows of 7, minus one for the fittings...

like this... SoG...

did that make sense?

Yes Gypsy, that does make sense. I will wait to take my clones then. Hopefully she will be recovered from everything soon and will really take off.

Good freaking gracious Gypsy!!! Man that is an awesome setup. I'm sending you my cuttings to clone for me, LOL.

LOL, I can grow like a champ but I absolutely suck at cloning. Cruzer is my mentor for the moment. I'm watching his bubbleponic thingy. My next crops are going to be autoflowering so I won't be taking clones anyway. But I ordered some Orange Candy Floss seeds for an outdoor grow.

I sucked at cloning too...

Until I read the fine print on Al B. Fuct's thread and started watering the RW cubes by weight...

A pain at first.. but once you "calibrate your hand" ... you can just dip it like Al does...

But if you work with a scale in the beginning... I guarantee you will have success...;-)

Al B has some great tutorials.

Gypsy all of your grows look great. Awesome job with the Aerogarden. Did you go 12/12 from cutting?

Great thread. Good job OP!

Thanks bro!

and you are right... the AG was 12/12 from day one...

Can you believe that one of those trees is one of the original AG clones? and the others are clones from her...

That 1 plant vegged for a year... gave me HUNDREDS of clones... and now will hopefully give me some bud...:razz:

WOW! :weed::clap: that was the deal. i saw those AG pics and called my girl to come see. she got the same reaction (from the 1st pic to the 2nd). looked like 'bout a 1/4 on each lil tree. excellent work. i love that zone bordering the box. :!:

thanks for sharing. :joint:

blessings to ya, bro.

Sorry. :bigjoint: I dig thinking outside the box, which, to me you demonstrated by going to maturity in the AG.

what kind of weight did you get?

Remember I added a LOT of light...

But I got 1.2 oz out of that in 60 days...

and it was pretty good too...

here is another small example...

I have this low profile clone going right now... she's about 3~4 weeks in...
