has any one or know someone who has used or heard about the HighTimes mag. issue

that shows how to build your own Aeroponic system called the StinkBud.....? If any one has any words or info on how effective it is please let me know....cause I am trying to decide to build one of these or go the bubbles bucket system. The stink bud is on a timer that pumps water/nutes for 1 minuet and off for 4 minuets - not sure why because I see systems on YouTube that run constantly wetting the roots.... Or what do you all think in general, do you think its just simpler to just use a good soil mix instead of hydroponics...?

No, I don't know. I get HT but didn't see that.

I wouldn't leave it on 24/7 because the roots grow a lot faster if you deny them water for 2-4 hours. I found this out by accident a couple months ago. My roots were growing really fast and it was because I had them on 18, off 6, along with the lights. I then switched it to come on for 15 minutes every 2-3 hours. They grow a lot faster than in dwc because you can limit the water exposure. 1 and 4 might work better, I wouldn't know. I doubt it because they'd always have water.

You'll probably find what you're asking about but you can easily make an aeroponic system with some pvc pipe and sprinkler heads on ebay. The sprinkler heads on ebay even come with the right drill bit. You don't even need to glue the pvc pipe together, it's very easy.

Thanks Boss...I appreciate it.

I built the stinkbud cloner. Uses the same timer you mentioned. I use mine set at 5 min off 1 min on.. 100% success rate. Never tried the full stinkbud system.. I prefer dirt. For me it's just less things to go wrong.. One thing I will say is don't try to use cheap sprayers. I tried the Home Depot ones and they clogged faster than I could clean them. Bought the ez-cloner sprayers next and after 2 years not one clog !! Also, the most expensive part of the system by far was the timer.. Like $60 bux.. There's a video around that shows how to take a cheap walmart timer (half hour increments) and convert it to minutes and seconds.. Good Luck to you !!

You say you prefer dirt.... thats what I am thinking... cause its seems it would be a lot less work. Do you find that there really is a huge difference in bud size when using hydroP. compared to soil.....? I am only going to do three plants....if you where only to do three plants- which would you choose to grow in.
