Has any of you tried this AIR INJECTED SOIL GROW ? If so, what did you think?

I was messing around on YouTube and came across something that I haven't heard of before till now and was wondering what you all think ? It shows this guy doing a DWC set up but he uses soil instead of stones, eliminating any common bug problems... this is the clip if you care to watch...if you do, please comment on your thoughts...And if you have already tried this method, please tell us your results on what you feel about it...Thanks Brothers..Peace:leaf:

Its a soil/Hydro hybrid
Why not just grow hydro?
What PH would you use?
Testing PH and PPM would be more difficult.

CReePeR, ya, that's right....plus I would think that the soil would eventually find or work it's way through all the way to the bottom, making the lower water area turn to mud.... I don't know - only thinking - and the more I think about it the more work I believe it would be for the grower. .... Peace :leaf:

i actually find this interesting. I'm not doing this, however I'm doing something similar with coco/peat/perlite - details here. For anyone interested in trying out the method from the youtube vid, it looks like they are just using 1/4"soaker hose for the airstone ($6 per 50ft). After seeing the vid, i bought some to play with.
