harvisting dwc weed?

this may sound abit stupid but i want the best from her,
when hanging the whole plant upside down to cure, leave roots on, cut the stem are just cut the roots??

cut it into to easy to hang portions try and keep as much stem as possible since that is where the last the nutrients are stored that you want to push int the buds during the drying process
