Gave a couple of 'em away but still have one more tub of trim to do.
These may be too dry already, still gotta go learn how to cure it but imagine it's just like weed.
So I cure it pressed like that? (for the next run)
How long?
You have to use heat with the pressure if you want to transform, just like using the curling iron. With heat and pressure a person can change the grainy screen product into a smooth creamy product. I pressed out the aged material I had on Sunday, and took a few photos. To press use a flat sided glass bottle with a good cap. I used an empty bottle of everclear, fill with very hot water, (use gloves), press material in parchment paper. Once flattened out fold and press again. I folded 3 times this run. I should mention that the granite counter this time of yr is cold, I used a heating pad for a few hrs on the area before I started.

Raw material

After 1st press which takes the longest. At least 20mins. I had to reheat the water in the bottle after 10min. Go slow mostly press with little roll.

1st & 3rd folds

Final product. Roll tight. The center will turn into a blonde cream.

Oh, ok. I think i understand that.
I crumbled it up again and pushed it through a strainer I bought and is now in the sand-like consistency you described but am unsure how to store it.

So, when I do the next batch, once its collected and on the screen, I want to let the globs dry for about 24 hours and run it through the strainer while it's still somewhat wet. Then let it dry thoroughly? on cardboard and then press it as you describe?
How do you smoke and store it once its pressed like that?

*edit* you said you pulled out some aged stuff to do that with. does that mean i should cure it first?
I will try to find a bottle or something to press what i have now as you describe.
Thanks!

Did another run with trim from second og kush grow and have washed it twice so far. Got quite a bit from the second wash so think i will run it again.
Which of these gets combined with which?
I think the 73 + 25 = full melt?
** Note ** The one labeled 190 is really the 90.

The lowest grade there is the 25, and I wouldn't personally use it in the pressing. The best product in order top down. 73, 90, 120 & 45 are probably close to the same.
I press everything that goes through the 160 but nothing below the 73. I take the 45 & 160 and blend it with coconut oil and then decarb it and use the oil in edibles. As far as aging it's something that Frenchy talked about. I've found that if it's kept for 6 months or more in a sealed jar in a cool dark area, it is much easier to press. Can't say if the end product is better or not. Guess I'll have to run a fresh batch soon and compare. Problem is with a small grow like I have. I end up with several strains in each bucket event, and different stains every event.
When I dry I chop it up as much as I can right off the bat while it's still real wet, the smaller pieces dry much better.
As far as smoking it's the same with any product that melts, it's best to have a medium for it to melt into. Or you can use an oil rig but it leaves more residue. My personal fav smoke is solvent oil. AKA shatter or amber oil.

I make my BHO different than most, much safer, higher extraction, cleaner, and no stupid vac pumps.

This helps tremendously. Thank you!

Never tried ingesting cannabis. That's a whole new puzzle to solve later... how to cook with it.

I've found that if it's kept for 6 months or more in a sealed jar in a cool dark area, it is much easier to press.
So if I store it in a small (6oz. i think) canning jar in the sand-like form I can then take it out and press it anytime?
What about the lid? Read someplace to keep the band, ditch the lid and use pantyhose instead to prevent mold... Does that sound right or seal it with the lid and burp occasionally?

Yeah, that shatter stuff looks appealing to me. Is that dabbing? I been seeing cool bongs with e-nails that stay hot... just drop it in.
Am afraid to see what they cost. no point in even looking right now.
Thanks again!

I have anal glaucoma when it comes to stuff like this (can't see my ass doing that).
