Harvesting Time Help? Pic Attached

Hi guys. I have an Indica that is in about the 6th or 7th week of flowering and has buds so heavy one of the lower limbs had to be fitted with a splint this AM after a rain.

I use a 10x lens scope and there are no amber trichs yet. Its in a 5 gallon bucket, 5'6" tall with no roots poking out the drain holes. She is in Bacto premium potting soil with 10% processed manure.

I have read there is a possibility that some Indicas will not amber? True?

Should I look for Amber on the leaves only or deep into the bud also. I want a 20% amber if I can.

personally i would give that plant another 2 weeks, i dont bother with a scope myself although i have one, you'll find the more you grow the less you tend to rely on things like that

Spoken like a pro. I don't use a scope either. I know when they're done and after a few grows so will you WEC. 8-9 weeks is about right for an Indica.

Since you are growing outdoors(im guessing because u said u hit rain) I wouldnt care too much about the trich's because I herd some theroy before in a reading that showed going by the trichromes on an outdoor grow is pointless because there are so many elements in atmosphere that can taint the colours on the trichs. I dont know how true this is but everytime I done outdoors I just feel when it need to be picked. If your doing indoor thats when ide use the scope. I also herd a theroy that on some strains the THC is at its max when the trich's are crystal clear. Research your strain and hopefully someone would have posted something that could help you more then I.

Thanks Guys,

Yes outdoors. I have also read you veterans look for the smaller single bladed leaves starting to curl and darken as a sign they are ready? None of mine are showing that.

The fact the buds are so heavy its folding branches has me very excited.
