Harvesting Question

Hey all,

So, I have a question. I have been reading through a lot of guides and have been getting some conflicting information.
So I have two plants growing, not sure what strain. They have been on a flowering light cycle for only bout 6 weeks. However, they are looking pretty nice. The thing is, the bottom half of the stems seem like they are ready to be harvested, but the top half doesn't seem quite ready. Bottom half about 75% of hairs are brown, middle about 50%, and the top quarter only like 10%. No magnifier for actual tri details.
Also, there are a bunch of smaller side shoot stems (some of which have gotten quite big). For the most part the hairs on these are tending towards being more white than on the main stem.

Should I give until most of plant seems ready? Or harvest soon?

Thanks

pistols (hairs) chaning colour has nothing to do with the trichome development and maturity, although it can be a general indication but can be quite inaccurate. Theres probably more red/brown hairs on the bottom of your plants because their not growing as fast or as much as the top colas.
