Harvesting males?

Hey I know this sounds pathetic... Im wondering if theres any way I can extract the THC from male plants? I have a quite few large males that I need to cull soon and I dont want to just toss them, is there any way to get the THC from them? I doubt they have trichs yet because they are still in veg but starting to show sex so normal methods probably wont work, maybe ISO extraction? What about butane? any ideas?
I am out of smoke and my females wont be ready to harvest for another 4 months! so looking for something to get me through till then. I dont want to make butter either, looking for something I can smoke
Thanks

he just said they are still vegging and just now showing sex. you kinda have to grow them to know if they are males or females. OR you can BUY seeds online.

Buy seeds online? don't see how thats gunna make any difference... unless you meant feminized...

either way I've got these plants... they are males... who cares why or how I got them or have them(cmon I planted a damn seed and a plant grew, now I have some that are males, pretty straight forward).

I figured you could extract some THC. I have an Ed Rosenthal/Mel Frank book showing a chart with THC % climbing to around 2 or 3 % for male plants just before flower so I figured it might be worth a shot.
You know back in the 60's 70's theyd smoke fan leaves, seeded buds, male flowers, etc. theres gotta be something I can get out of these plants to hold me over!

Yea I was thinking maybe some Isopropyl oil, but Ive read theres residual shite(chemicals) left behind with that. It might be the only option though. Im going to have about 20 males in the end so it would be a lot of plant to just through away.

Get a vaporizer...you can put anything in it...lol. and it will get the THC without giving you a bunch of smoke...so even things that are normally harsh aren't that bad...at least they aren't harsh---are they weak?--yes...but I plan on trying some male top parts right now...I need to cut it down since I already got the pollen I wanted, but I just feel bad so I just keep pinching the tops off so it doesn't outgrow the space I have it in...Anyway I have found that parts of the plant you can't normally smoke are able to be vaporized..Makes it worth the money I spent to get one for sure.

hmmm not a bad idea, those vapourizers are pretty pricey if I recall

I don't think theres really any THC you can get out of a male, even if there are 20 of them. With the time it would take to go over 20 plants looking for trichs and then vaping or smoking them you'd be better off just buying some somewhere.
If you're interested in breeding then I'd say selectively take pollen from the stronger looking males.

I wasnt planning to do any breeding, might be a good idea to isolate the best male for a while and let it develope, dry and jar some pollen sacks for later down the road if I change my mind. At least then I wont feel like it was a total waste

The problem with the males you have is that cos they're not flowering they've no THC of any kind. If it were physically possible you could smoke the twenty of them in one joint and it wouldn't get you high.

THC (sadly) is only produced in the trics (regardless of what the "it's IN the bud" people tell you) so no extraction method is possible.

Sorry dude.

ill have to disagree, there are three types of trichs, two dont stand up high at all forget there names, they do have a small %of thc and terepenes in them. i say all this to say this on my last two males they clearly did not form capitulate stalked trichomes, but there were definately the other two.is it worth it to extract ,probally not for two reasons 1 you would need a whole lot to get very little and whats there would probably fall into the "clear"category unless u grew it to harvest.

When you saying the other trics produce THC is true, its so nominal it's almost the same as the amount produced naturally by the human body.

I have a book here by Mel Frank and Ed Rosenthal that would suggest otherwise. I dont see why they would be giving percentages in double digit numbers if they were just making the numbers up. From this book as my one source of info on male potency it looks like there is in fact quite a surprising amount of THC. I'm in no mood to type this stuff out right now but maybe you can find an online source for Marijuana Grower's Guide by Mel Franks/Ed Rosenthal

a quick example is a male sample from Afghanistan having a THC potency of 4.41%
another example is a male sample from vietnam having a THC potency of 3.23%
by weight of dried samples

Read back over the convo, I said he couldn't process his plants because they're vegging and have no trics. Genius above said not only one type of tric produce THC, I then said the other trics produce so little that it's considered mathematically nominal like the amount produced naturally by the body.

In short:
Male flowering plants=bulbous Trics=worth making hash from
Male vegging plants=no trics=headache if you smoke it.
