Alright, my camera is dead, but I think this can be explained by me and understood by the reader.

Using LED/CFL grow (So obviously, not as strong as an HPS), the hairs, or pistols on my TOP BUDS ONLY have receeded back into the bud, however, some of the LOWER node pistols have not receeded back into the plant. The top trichs are mushroomed and turning amber under my microscope, the bottoms are mushrooming a little, with no amber.

My question: Should I chop the top half of the plant (Where the pistols are noticibly retracted, and give the bottom half about another week of 12/12??????

I am on my 8th week of flowering Nirvana AK-48.

Lot's of people harvest only part of a plant. I never do, but I know many people that do harvest only parts of plants and wait on other parts...

@ Paint: Thats kind of what I was planning, but I would like to just try the half method on just 2 plants to see how it works out. Planning on waiting till the weekend if I do halfchop. I know the importance of waiting when you harvest:) This is a really "outside the box" grow. I tested many different theories (LED lights, fertilizers, shit like that) I have read, to learn what works just right for me.

Once your tricomes start turning amber the THC begins degrading. The quality of your but will be better if you'll start harvesting the higher up buds when about 1/3 or so of the tricomes have started changing. If you wait much longer your herb won't be as potent.
