harvesting dilemma

Alright guys, i want to say thanks in advance for your advice. Here is the background to my situation:

I am going to college on the 22nd of September. It is about 1.5 hours away by car from my grow site, so pretty far out of the way. I am coming home from college the 20th of october or so, and also for thanksgiving (late November).

I have one early misty flowering and will chop her down the 13th of september, allowing for some time to cure before i head off.

The problem:
My sativa will not finish until early october, chopping the 13th of september will be way too early. I know i will have to chop the 20th of october, but what should I do about drying. Should I hang the plant in a tree for a month and pick it up when I come home on thanksgiving? I cant bring the plant back and dry it at college obviously. Ahh this is pretty stressful...please help me out.

do not leave a harvested plant hanging outside for a month! people, animals, weather, and MOLD. all would be bad news and an awful waste. there isn't a single friend or relative in that area that could dry/cure for you in exchange for some finished bud?

When you harvest her;trim, cut her right away and cut the stems so that you can put them in brown bags or shoe boxes.

if nobody else can then it's ultimately up to you. i think that if you trimmed and separated at harvest, you could perhaps put the wet bud into tupperware and bring it back to college with you (risky i know). Possibly arrange a way to dry and cure while you're there?

what about a food dehydrator to fast dry the bud. not an optimal way but it should be ok.
you can then put it in jars to cure and take them with you.

the buds may not taste quite as good but at least you save them and they dont go moldy.

any way just a thought...:-)

orange buy my plane ticket and gemme a map to your spot and i'll harvest and cure them for you ... maybe if there is someone that COULD do it just doesnt know how to cure would be ur best bet .. cause i could teach them how to

just make a road trip "home" one weekend....its not that far....less than 100 miles for sure, seeing as it takes 2h~ to drive 100m. and what do you meen you cant dry+cure at collage? just vent the "out" air through one of those fabreze dryer sheets, it makes everything smell like lysol........come on, be creative.....you can do it....

theres a difference between being creative and getting kicked out of school. of course i could bring the whole plant to school...but is that really a smart decision? i dont know.
