Yea it depends on strain, but sometimes there are a few white left. Usually mostly amber though. Some strains all amber so it's hard to say.

Trichomes really a better way to tell when to harvest, I find hairs to be too variable. Jewelers loupes are a couple dollars on eBay.
 
Thanks ppls Iv read like a thousand thread, posts, and watched vids so I now find it easer to tell the difference. Glad to see the generosity thank you.
