Harvest time

You want to water with plain water (no nutrients) for a couple weeks or so, in an attempt to create a 'fade' (leaves begin to lose their green and turn a different shade). This is leaching out the chlorophyll for better taste. And right before you do harvest, allow your soil to go dry, as if needs another water. Then harvest and hang the plant whole, with large leaves and all intact. It's been my undeniable observation over 15 years of growing that buds harvested in this manner are crushingly superior to those immediately trimmed at harvest, in regard to both sweetness and pungency. The fan leaves (big leaves) will shrivel and die first, then the smaller leaves will wrap around the bud. Depending on your ambient environment, it should take anywhere from 5-15 days for the bud to be dry and ready for the jar. Just beware of placing 'wet' bud in jars, as this will spoil them and create a hay smell. You should end the hanging process when buds are just becoming smokeable.

This is a bit of an extreme 'fade' on one my blueberry kush plants, but notice how the green has all but disappeared:
