As of today My plant has been in flower for nine weeks . The tricromes are all swelled up and 85% milky white. Witch are all signs that it's ready right but the problem is that there is only like oh 25% red hair's. So what I want to know is do I harvest now or wait for the hairs to turn red ? The strain is a lemon kush I use a 1000 watt HPS and the bulb is new and grew five other plants with this one lemon that were buba kush and they came out just fine but the lemon just dosen't want to turn red. Do some strains just not trun red or is there a problem ? :wall: P.S. Sorry about any of my bad spelling and or grammer

All realy depend's on how much you want this crop, personaly i would wait for the tricone's to go a larger coulour rather than white.Look for them to go the same coulour has larger the drink and you will fink it will de done to a t perfect. Also make sure that 75% of the hairs on the plant are red,but saying that some go a differant coulour.Wait till 75% have changed coulour and you will get a far better smoke,if you put the [lant's on just water now then the plant's will finish up in the final week's on water, but if a plant has gone all this time without and premature hair coulouring or the tricone's changeing coulour early, then this spell's one thing that you have done everthing perfect. So give them a extra week and then hang the stalk's with the bud's on upside down for 5 day's then take of any of the major big leave's and give them a little longer till the stalks snap rather than fold,Once dry put into jam jar's and leave too cure all though let them breath for at least 20 min's a day then back on with the lld.Unless you have other plan's for the crop but good luck well done ENJOY TYKE....................................

Ignore Tyke's advice if you want to harvest bud with good THC. Some strains will keep producing new pistils all day long. You don't go by them at all. You go by the color of the trichomes. If 85% are milky white, I'd chop right now before you have them starting to turn amber on you. If you wait for the "hairs to go 75% red or colored like Tyke suggests, most of your trichs would be amber and the thc degrading. Ttrust me, within 24 hours of chopping, all the hairs will have turned red, brown, pink or whatever color they turn on that strain.

Again, if 85% of your trichs are fully formed and milky, it is an ideal time to harvest. Tyke, you give some weird advice dude.... this is like the 4th or 5th correction I've made for you....

Want another opinion?...
