Harley Davidson style bike? Or.. Croctch Rocket style bike? Which one would u want?

thought that this would make an interesting thread.. I've been trying to think of what I'm going to do with some of my inheritance money once I receive it.

Thought maybe a bike would nice.. I would still be riding currently.. if it wasn't for an accident when I was younger. I was 11 years old, and I had one of those Zuma Scooters. I think Yamaha made them.. had the bigger wider bulkier front and rear tires on that model. Long story short, I had one of those nerdy half-shielded helmets on. I was stopped to turn onto the road where I live, and all I remember.. is waking up in ICU in the hospital after being unconscious for 3 days, not to mention all the surgeries I had immediately done when I arrived at the hospital. But, what happened was fucking rediculas.. I mean of all things that hit me.. instead of having a truck come into my lane while I was stopped to turn.. he see's me finally.. just in time to swerve the truck the other way to try and avoid hitting me head on.. (What's funny.. is I don't and cannot remember that night.. I mean I can to a certain point.. but then it just goes black..).. which he succeeded in doing. But, what hit me.. was the exterior side mirror on the drivers door. Was one of those heavy ass metal/iron 'California' style mirror. Like on an 18-wheeler. Maybe a little smaller. but not much.. but yeah.. I should be dead according to the doctors.. told both my parents that if I was to live through all the brain swelling and trauma to the front of my forehead (Left Frontal Lobe of the Brain) which I forgot what that part controls.. but I get depressed alot.. I know that much. And my anxiety is off the roof.. but that's why the doctor has me on Xanex, which helps. But anyway, after a few reconstructive surgeries, I look just like would as if the accident wouldn't have happened. Except for scars.. and the damage to my left eye socket and cheekbone.. you can tell that they both have been exposed to major trauma.. but ehh hey, this is why I smoke bud!!!!


Sorry for babbling.. but, I am thinking about getting back on the road with a new or even used bike. But I'm thinking that since I'm getting older now, 28 years old, I have been thinking more and more about getting another bike. I mean.. hell you only live once.. so they say right?

So, why not get another bike?

So here's the question: Which type of bike would you get if you had the money?

A: 'Crotch Rocket style' (racing style..)
B: '3-wheeled (can-am trike) motorcycle
C: 'Touring' style bike (Harley Davidson for example)

I'd definitely be going for a crotch rocket, but that's just me.

I ride a gsxr 750.. started with a 750 honda shadow.

Don't get more than 600cc on a sport bike for your first bike you will most likely kill yourself.

Harleys are expensive if you wanna start the right way start with a honda or suzuki street cruiser

I'm a fast, crotch rocket kind of guy but I sold my rocket last year. Now looking into a cruiser that me AND my wife can ride

I think there is more to say, I couldnt do it, but he could go ducati... or harley if he is going to be riding for long periods.

I like all types of bikes.

I would choose Sportbikes if I only had one choice. They are my passion. I like all of them. R1, R6, 1000RR, 600RR, GSXR 1000 / 750 / 600, 1098, 999, 998, 996, 918, S1000RR

If I were being practical I would get a sport touring bike like a Honda Interceptor or ST1300.

Not a huge fan of Harleys. I would get a BMW R1200C or a Honda Rune if I were looking for a cruiser.

The BMW R1200GS is a great all around bike that can handle anything that you throw at it. I saw a guy tearing up the track with one outfitted with sportbike tires. Ewan McGregor and his buddy rode them around the world. I have seen dudes do Iron Butts on them and dudes run to the grocery stores on them.

Don't buy a ducati as your first bike unless you have a deathwish

When you open the throttle your brain can't even process the accelleration..

I REALLY can't stress this enough, this is why I say suzuki or yamaha 600, but some say THOSE are too fast, I personally don't think so though

Depends what you want to do. If you want to cover a few hundred miles in a day you need big and comfortable. I ride a Harley Road King going cross-country or just about anywhere, put 110K on it so far. Whatever you do -do it - you'll never regret it. Riding high is fine as long as you're not tired - but that's just me, and I've been thought a fool.

now this my kind of talk...been riding for bout 5yrs.never rode any scooters,mopeds and a dirt bike once for like 100 yrds. my first and the one i still ride is a cbr600f4i...not the fastest by any means but still hell of alot of fun.

so im a crotch rocket guy...but i'd love to ride/own a cool cruiser, harley sportster, or maybe a chopper. buts theres nothing like the acceleration these bikes have,sportbikes that is although im sure cruiser move out too. now im not good a wheelies but when it comes to hittin some nice twisty back roads with a few other bikes and leaning the shit out of that bike, god damn thats fun, those who lean knwo wat i mean. thats y i got the f4i, its quick,comfortable on long rides, storeage underseat(unlike some of the under tail exhust bilkes) and its a honda.

all bikes are dangerous, everyone falls. its not if i fall,its when i fall. and its not the fall that kills u, its wat u hit...or hits u. RESPECT that throttle cuz it will get u in trouble before u know wat happened. buys used and old so u can learn.

buy anything YOU like and want to ride.....as long as ur riding its all good, no matter wat kind of bike. be safe, rubber side down.

Im trained as amotorcycle mechanic so this is my expertise i guess lol.

My dad has a 08 plate daytona 675, he doesnt know but iv had a sneaky go and is ridiculously quick.

Personally, im into scooters, yes scooters. Gilera runner 125's. Highly tuneable engines, they come stock with 10hp, and can be tuned to 3 times there power. will beat any superbike off the line and upto maybe 70mph. Yes on a scooter! mine is barely tuned, I have just a bolt on kit to raise it to 172cc and it power wheelies, crazy little things!

Very popular bikes to stunt aswell. Heres some guys that are well known form the scene, there only about 18 years old, maybe younger.

at about 37 seconds, basically the person driving the car was trying to keep up and the boy on the bike was wheelieing and getttign away lol. A 'pussy ole' is basically calling him a dick

and supermoto, supermoto bikes are the tits, I want to get a crf450 in sm trim for my first bike. or cr250 2 stroke converted to road legal!

hear it goes plain and simple. when you drink if you get hammered and puke go with a crotch rocket (your used to being bent over in that position already from puking)
if you prefer your lazyboy to the white throne(toilet) than get a harley. get a custom chopper. thats what i ride kingpin bobber
