I started with Happy Frog and then when I moved them to their final location I switched to FF Ocean Forest. This is what the friendly dude at the local hydro store suggested. Happy Frog has the right stuff to get them started, the right Ph and low nutes/food so they don't burn. Then you switch to something with more food in it, a little more hearty. I also added more Vermiculite and Dolomite Lime to my FFOF too, to make my own sort of mix- lots of people do that- it helps with the Ph of the soil and vermiculite helps with the aeration so the roots get more oxygen.

You can use Happy Frog from start to finish no proublum with sum nutes added later on but I like to mix Happy Frog and Ocean Forest 50/50 when in my final Pot/Hole. I also add in a small amount of perlite and killer native soil from my garden.

supersoil and happy frog are 2 different, you can use your happy frog to make some super soil if you like...but HF is just a "base soil" a super soil has, tons of added guano, blood meal, bone meal, earthworm castings etc..for a full complete soil that needs very little besides water the entire grow, with just store bought soil you will need to add a good ammount of nutes in your water...
