Hanging Tomato?

Saw a commercial for a hanging tomato planter. Anybody ever use this to grow weed possibly? This would be an interesting setup.

I've heard with tomatoes that watering is a PITA, and they dry out pretty quickly.

Good for pest control outdoors (small animals nibbling).
