Hanging a magnum xxxl

Ok so i got my new hood, apparently it weighs 15kg or 33 pounds

My yo yo hangers have a maximum of a 5kg load

(it say that on each one so im taking it its 5kg max and not 10)

This hood is going to be heavy

I dont want to use chains due to the hassle of adjusting the height

Ive seen sunlight supply do progrip light hangers but i cant get them in the uk

what are peoples experiences?

One thing to consider is maybe putting two yo yo's on each end of the hood anchored at different points, thus equalising the amount of weight each yo yo has to handle. Thats what climbers do all the time when setting up belay anchors, that individually wouldn't be up to the task. Just a thought...

i use the pro grip and love them, they handle 150 pounds. my lights are about 50 pounds and i can raise and lower them with1 hand easy.

Progrips make life easier. Wouldn't advise it but you can do everything with one hand if you really wanted. Yo-yo hangers are made for small hoods, and barely that. I'd never trust those things. Especially with an "ocho".

Yeah thats what im worried about, i can see any plants surviving having that dropped directly on them...

Cant get them in the uk just quite yet - i was thinking chains in the meantime?
