Hang drying for a month?

I am looking to cure dank smelling and tasting weed, the kind that coats your mouth for in soapy sugary deliciousness, that type of thing. I was leaning towards hang drying for 3 days(in CO=dry climate[usually, been raining for a month lol]) and "jarring" with 62% boveda packs for however long it takes. But then I remembered...I remembered...some of the best smelling and tasting weed I've got in CO was grown by a friend of a friend we'll say. A little closer then that but whatev. The dude hung his weed in his garage for a month basically, he's lazy, lol!. I call his weed "pine cone" cuz that is what it reminds me of. I've grown it out, it's a sativa dom hybrid of some kind. I've had a bag of shake for a 3months, it still reeks of "pine cone". and tastes of it too. The weed is good on all fronts and has stayed that way. Does anyone out there just hang their weed in garage or something for a 3weeks or more? I know the science of it all btw... Just wondering about ya'll

still kinda wondering whether anyone does this and what kinda conditions exist where you live. So one bump for the road.

like everyone else has said, 3 weeks hanging up and they'd be pretty dry, ok, ok, super dry, even in places where humidity is super low, i'd still say it's way too long to hang up buds to dry them..
i usually hang for about 3 or 4 days tops, in a room with about 40% humidity or so, then into jars for a minimum of 18 days..

No way a 30 day hang will give buds any benefit. If you want flaky , potpourri than do it.
For my DANK , I dry around 3 days ( checking moisture content ) by jarring up buds with a RH meter. If I get RH after 24 hours around 70% , THEN I CAN burp jars down to a desired RH.

IT IS FAR EASIER TO BRING DOWN MOISTURE CONTENT THAN TRYING TO REHYDRATE OVERDRIED BUD.

After a daily burp and monitor , if RH begins to stabilize DOWN ( even by 1 or 2 percent ) THEN I know I am right path. Once I get around 65% ( in goes the BOVEDA PAKS )

I get sticky buds around 63/65% . 2 BOVEDA per mason jar will hit this area.
3 BOVEDA will bring it down to 62% and be stable. For those that want EVEN better results , continue to aerate jars daily until you can jar at about 55 -57% ( NO BOVEDA PACKS ).

Every grower has their personal cure zone ! :bigjoint:

word. I wonder how and why that dudes weed I got was so good after his hanging for so long. But ill probably play it safe and just jar it up. Would like some dank smelling and tasting bud this time around.

could be the conditions in his garage..he may have humidifier..fans..don't know how much sun it gets or locale..i've been in garages you'd swear you were underground due to the low light and dankness.

sometimes you just run into a crazy condition that you cannot replicate either.

just luck that it happened.

once it's dry; cure stops, though.
