Haluk's Afgan Grow

OK,

I brought these seeds from Turkey. They're most probably afgan (or may be lebanese...). Anyway, it's the seeds from a very potent smoke we had in Turkey, not feminized or anything. This is my first grow. I'm kind of messing with it, will be happy if I can yield anything at all.

This is a closet grow (approx. 2 ft x 3 ft x 5 ft). I'm living in a foreign country and do not have command in local language, so it was kind of difficult to get all the supplies I needed. I was unable to get any HPS for instance, I had to opt to two 70w MH (instead of a 400 w HPS that I's willing to buy). Bulbs and ballasts were ridiculously expensive. I could buy two 400 w HPS ligts for the money I paid for these two 70 MHs. But I'm happy I was at all able to get these anyway.

I begun germinating in late january, planted first seedlings in Feb 1st. Most of them died. Only 3 remains from the first germination, and one of them is too behind (too smaller than the other two) so I germinated some more seeds a few weeks ago. So right now, I have three plants 30 days in to veg and 7 plants approx. 7 days in to veg. Eventually (after sexing), I am aiming to get 4 females out of these ten plants.

Because of difference in age, I am planning to sex older plants by removing them from grow room early each day (effectively putting them in 12/12). After 2 - 3 weeks, If they're males, they go to garbage, if they're female, I'll put them together with the rest of the plants and continue 12/12.

Two larger ones were fimmed (using M Blaze's fim technique) successfully. I'm waiting another week to fim weakest of older plants and it'll be about 2 or 3 weeks before I fim 7 younger plants.

Discoloration / white areas on leaves are due to foilar feeding. Some of older leaves are burnt (either because I watered them tap water or too much / too early nutes). I suspect nutes because I always let the water sit a few days before watering plants. Also there is too much calc in water here. Perhaps it is due to excessive calc levels???

Soil is 6.0 - 6.5 ph (can't remember the brand). I maintain the grow cabinet temperature at 25 celsius (77 fahrenheit). Don't even check humidity :) Mist / Foilar feed them every night before lights out (18 hour on to 6 hour off btw).

All comments / hints are appreciated.

Today I'm switching to 24 cycle. WTF, I'm giving it a try. Yesterday I fimmed smallest of the older ones. And today, I put a yeast + sugar solution in the closet, hoping to boost grow a lil bit. Will see what turns out.

Yesterday I repotted younger plants. I bought a air purifier with carbon filter and hepa filter and rearranged the grow cabinet. I have 3 older plants (46 days or so) and 6 younger plants (15 days old). A few younger plants are in small pots. I'm still keeping them just in case...

Sheet. Oldest and healthiest of the plants turned out to be male. That bustard sack in the first picture even burst open. Luckily, no other plants were flowering. So (I hope) things will be OK.

2 days ago I FIM'med rest of the plants. And begun LST on this male bustard (I didn't know it was male back than). In one day, over the night, it produced sacks on LSTd branches. I will never LST again.
