Hair in my bong...shit!

There are three dog hairs in my bong. My percs are too tight to wash them out. This sucks. Not to mention it's kind of gross. I know bleach can dissolve hair. Is that a good idea? Any other ideas?

rubbing alcohol and salt? spiral or tree? Iso cleans that shit out as well. dissolve the resin and the hair will come out? clean with hot water after for tasty rips again!

Fyi rubbing alcohol IS "Iso". Stands for isopropyl alcohol.

Muriatic acid. Do not inhale this stuff. I repeat do not inhale this stuff. (It will literally take your breath away.) Or get it on you for that matter. It will dissolve hair, and most plastics. I wouldn't be surprised if it makes Chuck Norris nervous. Caustic stuff but it does the job.

It's a circ perc. And there isn't any resin as I keep my pieces very clean... Just three hairs... mocking me... watching me...

oh a dome perc.. haha that should be easy to clean. just couldnt remember how to spell it XD

its not dangerous at all. well.. dont smoke while youre doing it and stay away from flames but its no more dangerous then fueling up your car. its totally worth it. just some sort of strong solvent, and some salt to scrub that gunk out of there. bong will be brand new in a few mintues. make sure to wash it with regular water for a while after, till the smell is gone. and get ready to fall in love with your bong all over again!

it is one whiff will scorch your lungs i was sick for 3 weeks
what about using compressed air to blow it out ?

Idk if it would come out of the bong because of all the perc. Sounds good though...

Here's what you do.. Spit the dog hairs... Take another hit.. Think that you still have dog hairs in your mouth.. Spit some more... Drink a beer.. Go to bed.

That stuff is SUPER corrosive. It will eat through concrete/ cement if you don't keep water on it to cool it down. A guy I work with, his truck was leaking oil in a homeowners driveway and he tried EVERYTHING to get it off, then finally the guy at the autoshop mentioned this stuff... It's gnarly to say the least. I guess it's boro safe?

use the iso and salt, since the salt won't dissolve in iso its more abrasive than only liquid and u don't have to buy any hydrochloric acid like purplesticky said.

muriatic acid is one hellova cleaner. haved used it many times. wear glasses and gloves. pour water in bong before applying acid.
it's commonly used for pools. i use it to remove mildew. GL

He's trying to get rid of a stubborn hair. ISO and salt will just make the hair really clean I've worked with muriatic acid for a very long time. It's very useful and if you're not completely inept you can use it for this very thing with no problems.

It will not hurt your glass or you once you've thoroughly rinsed it out. Feel free to try other options, but when your done cleaning the hair and are ready to make it go away; head over to a local pool supply shop and pick up a bottle. Just be safe and don't stand over it while working with it. Get a good pair of gloves (they probably have them at the pool supply place). Go home, rinse out your pipe with iso and salt to get the normal junk out of it and then add the MA. Give it a little bit and the hair should be gone. If it will eat through a hair clog it will have no problem with one lone pain in the ass hair. Inhaling a bit won't instantly kill you, it's just not advisable to breathe in the stuff for any length of time.

Aside from removing oil as mentioned before; it will also remove rust stains from gelcoat. Just make sure you keep it away from aluminum things that you like because it will turn it white if it gets on it.

bleach idea was the best idea. personally i would burn them out dont be a puss a dog hair hit wont kill you.

Hose from the sink, shop vac and time

Take hose from sink and start pouring in water through the mouth piece then take shop vac and suck the water out through the bowl holder, (what kind of piece is it? peculated strait pipe with regular downstem?)

if it doesn't come out then resort to sea salt & iso and shaking it like a crazy person.

Or get a long pipe cleaner? you know those things we used to play with as kids, school crafts
