GYMRATjoos' First GROW LOG(White Castle & Aurora)

Alrighty RIU ! Its been a little bit since my last update and these girls are getting big overnight cant say i love that feeling enough! So i went ahead and bought some einstein oil and it should be here in a few days. those little bugs are getting on my nerves.

The Aurora's are a great strain if I let these girls veg another week they would be pretty darn big IMO!

So I updated my "VEG ROOM" and put 2 of 4 bulb t8 flouro approx 20,000 lumens
it takes up the space and they are really heavy duty and look great .... cant wait to throw some clones in this new cloner!!!!!!!
Plus "it works"!! to my suprise of not checking on my runt thought she was dead....SHE GREW ROOTS....not just a little a fricken ton of em!!

The strains are growing nicely in this CFL setup. The aurora is def recommended strain from nirvana for CFL grow...
As for the WHITE CASTLE...they look short and stocky IMO but will see what she looks like in a few weeks
oh and my prize AURORA in the last pic so fricken amazingly healthy!

Lookin good man. What is the temp in that room, I see a little cupping on the the leaves. I normally connect this with heat stress, but it can be a numer of things. The plants look healthly though, so I'm figuring it might be heat. People might think CFLs run super cool, but those bigger ones can run hot just like HPS lights. My temps, before I solved the problem, would average in mid 90s and reach 102-104 by the end of the day. I do have them in a small cab so that will make a big difference.

Looking really good man, impressed with the size increase just over the past week...

I am with ADT on the heat issue, looks like they are a little too warm brotha man. Get the temps down bro and you will be golden!

alrighty so i raised the lights off the plants a little and took the mylar board off as well. Seems to have helped a few degrees. had thermometer at top of setup not at plants so temps were off...they dont go over 82 but and dont go below 72 degrees.

Ive thrown 2 more in as of kind of perpetual grow style but still need clones before that takes off.

So as of now these plants are under a multi watt cfl setup, and in a few days they will be thrown under a 400 watt hps. not downing the grow just want the best bud possible. and more buds is more smoke and money
The cfls will be left for a veg room and will be used with 6 x 68 watt cfl (300 watt equivalent) so should be ok


I still love cfl just need more lumens! and more penetration.

This is the side im running my 400 watt hps on ... was a little strapped for cash and will eventually get another light but for now i am going with the 400.
To the left you can see where my a/c (white ducting on top) ducting comes in and where i am stealing A/C from ....my 6" flex duct runs parallel with ac unit and at the end of the mylar board is fed into the air cooled hood and out the other side.
YOUR RIGHT ITS A SLEEPING BAG! Not only is it conducting cold air but it helps with the vibration !



this is the inner part where the aeroponic hydro setup is going. you can see to the left that my 8'x4' mylar wrapped board hangs right next to the soon to be plants to allow for more reflection and better buds...


heres my 10" exhaust fan that exhaust underneath my house....

The ac im pulling throught the hood and out throught this ventilation fan already installed in my house when i moved in....IS THIS CORRECT?

I have central air so when it starts getting colder and i want to turn the heat on ,... I should disconnect the flex duct running "a/c" off the hood right??
OR do i just keep it on?
Do i need a booster inline fan ?
Do i need a 440 cfm exhaust fan and filter?


THIS VENTILATION BULLSHIT IS DRIVING ME INSANE!

Wow and i thought i would get a little more help from you guys and its been a few days? Honestly NO Ventilation help????

heres the veg/mother/clone room with 4 new additions to the room 4 Aurora clones....... with another aurora in the bubble bucket doing amazing and the other is a mother white castle....

How come you didnt top or fim them?

Top them?? What's that?

Cutting the 'top' off a node area. Usually wanna cut above the 3rd/4th node up from first set of leaves. That's when I do. I didn't top this grow for some reason idk why, just wasn't thinkin bout it lol.

Yeah, I mean you kinda answered part of your own question when you asked this. In the winter when you have the heater burning, obviously you don't want al that hot dry air coming straight to your plants. Maybe you need to work out some intake. That's your basement right? Passive intake or like a 6" 240cfm (like $25) would probably do the trick. Just air coming from the basement should be enough I think. Good Luck. Plants look wonderful!

For you vent question I'd post that in another part of the forum instead of posting it in your log, you will get more help. I'm not the best at vent stuff so I wouldn't be much help.

These ladies really taken off on this 3rd week of 12/12....

These Auroras blew up this last week, recovering from wind burn....thought it was a myth its FO SHO!!



White Castle's are small and fat just sprouted hairs...

Final day under CFL, HPS will be setup tomorrow and hopefully we get a better harvest this late in the grow? What yall think I can bud per plant?? TAKING A POLL... IM GOING TO SAY easy 2 ounces per plant to stay safe...

So I changed all the plants over to this HPS setup and left the other vegging plants under the cfl as i hope they will get bigger for me to clone them...


Heres what has changed....from what was to what is now...



From the CFL to the HPS will see what difference it is in a week...




HPS setup done and ready to be turned on...the ladies love this weather.... doesnt get better than this!

Ladies looking rather healthy now now burn anymore , no heat problems , just lumens and pistals!

THese girls are looking better everyday....fed them today full strength and a nice thing i like about this grow is that all ins are in a different stage of flowering so ill be getting buds for a few weeks then have to wait another 5 weeks or so to get another batch...and the next batch will be in my aeroponic bud booming system!
CLONES are doing ok thing the first four i cut were in 12/12 a week or two so the ladies prolly got more shock than they needed plus my ph was off with the cloner so i went to a rockwool dome setup "oldschool".....Thus far here is my FAV 4 and the rest of the grow...

Hey fellas some of you guys have been following from the start of seeds....these girls have really grown up!! These pics here show the ladies in around day 41-42 or so from seed.



Bud hairs are everywhere just hope it all fills in...

The Aurora on the left two pics has a nice solid cola going , and the last pic is of the White Castle ladies.... soakin up the lumens!



Keep watching im hoping for at least 2 oz per plant with these AURORA's what yall think? Lets take a poll........for how many oz you think my auroras will yield? 4-5 weeks to go SUPER STOKED!

i got to keep up with this thing and not let a few days slide ......lol just messed up my pics! forget it now yall can tell what stage they are in...first ones suppose to be last and last first....etc.. all mixed up so i say F that!
Keep following this grow will produce great results im optimistic!

still has a while to go for sure, but don't worry they look good as of 4 weeks of flower.
