Ok i have a question first time grower here when i put my girls into flowering do they continue to keep getting taller i am growing indoors in a tent and my 2 little plants are about 2 feet tall right now i still have room for them to grow taller but i am just wondering what is going to happen i dont want to run out of room. So i am trying to figure out when is the right time to start the flowering cycle.

When you were 3 years old, do you think your mother could have predicted your height to the inch with certainty?

That's what you're kind of trying to accomplish here. They will usually stop after 2-3 weeks of flowering. It's obvious because the stretch stops once they start budding basically.

Lol thanks for the reply not trying to predict the height to the inch just not sure when to start the flowering so i thought if i had some idea of what plants do in flowering it may help me get them into flowering around the right time. So thanks you answered my question i am sure to all you guys and gals that have been doing this for a long time this was a really stupid question but to us first time dummies it was something i did not know. Thanks again for your help.

Depending on strain, light and size of the pot, when you put on 12/12 they grow 2-3 times more thru the length of flowering period. So if its 1ft it can get 2 -- 3ft tall in all, but like I said it depends on the strain, size of the pot your growing it in and the light it gets(keep the light low to your plant enough that it dosent harm your plant helps the plant to bush, if your lights are to high it can cause it to stretch)

I am growing a indica strain called god bud they are in 4 gallon pots and i have a 110 watt t-5 light on them and the light is right down on top of them and it sounds like i need to keep the light down right on them . I was concerned about running out of room but i was wanting to get them as big as possible before flowering but it sounds like i may be getting to that point right now. Thanks for the info.
