i do it allthe time.so how long have they been growing in total?
Metal Halide would probably be your best bet. Never used it though but im pretty sure it will fit in your hps ballast.

alright i guess i might put up the hps but when it is time to harvest im moving the vegie plants to the second story surface and the vegie room is going to be back on 40 watt florecentsi do it allthe time.
ill keep updated with you guys and when i get up my 400 watt hps light ill take a picture to show it to you guys!!

Its Not to hot but its warm. i mean if i put my hand there for awile it wont burn it. Another thing. My time is only a 2 way plug-in. i mean like You cant put the ground into the timer. The light has the 3 way metal things in there you plug it in. Should i take off the ground to the light or buy a new timer???

yea they're just 1 or 2 bucks more expensive than the one u have now. I have an orange wire that takes 3 ground plugs and changes them to a 2-prong outlet so i can plug it into my 2-prong timer. the orange wire is cut at the end and continued by a vaccuum wire.

Okay thanks.. i do have a fan in there but . what im going to do is make a 2 story growroom im going to put another board above that one about 4 feet above it and harvest. i hope it works cause i want a veggie room and a harvest room. the pants are doing better already haha! but i do have to water them alot more and where can i get one of those water testers and what kind of water should i use? thanks!
Glad to hear the plants are doing better. You can use tap water but you should let it sit for at least 20 mins. before using it so that the chlorine gets evaporated out. usually people fill up a bucket or gallon and let it sit overnight before using it.
