Some of the JackiO's have squirelly looking leaves but they'll grow out of that. That's the haze genetics from the Jack's Candy.
Also, you'll experience a bit of a difference in growing such sat dominant phenos (Cred).
Regarding the split stem, ask P4P, we had one that we put back together with a drywall screw. Sure wish I still had that pic. Plant lived on and grew as normal as the others.
I don't top any of these strains, only pure Indicas.

today is a sad sad day, one of my c-red has definate balls, i plucked one off and looked at it. no doubt it is a male. on the plus side 1 of the other c-red shows pistols on a few brackets. so we have 2 sexed today, well tonight rather, im removing the one right now, not letting him pollenate. check some more tomorrow,

Sorry Man.
Have you considered doing the Mother And Clones?

Sorry Man.
Have you considered doing the Mother And Clones?
id really like to, but i dont have another light, or place to keep my mother or clones. so untill we upgrade we have to just run the entire cycle. i have thanks to greenbud13 finally found someone with clones, im thinking about getting a few of them and vegging them @ his house since he's still on veg cycle, then putting them into mine next week, would be a smallish girl, but still, better than nothing.
i plan on getting a "mother tent" and a clone tent, my main issue is adequate lighting for the clones.

There's lots, lots more so don't fret too much.
Hit me up on this thread or via PM if you need additional info.
I'm curious to see what they do in hydro, I too miss having the room.
As an adjunct, I'm low on light and space right now too. I'd suggest buying a couple of cfl's (as big as you can find) to keep clones alive and switch your other lighting to 12/12. I've kept 3 mom's going with just a 4300 cfl.

damnit, ok heres the count as of right now...
the bagseed is of course female, seein as how i used this plant to dial in my nutes, and she's burnt all to shit.
2 labella strawberry, feminised seeds, suposedly, but they ARE both showing female pistols
1 twog female
1 jackie-o female
1 cred female
1 bagseed female

another cred bit the dust today, cutting him in just a few, wish i could let them go for a few to see if maybe the balls i peeled off werent really seed sacs, but ive seen males before. these are definately males, if i was in an outdoor situation, they would get bagged and burnt. so i am doing the same, well not burning them, thinkin since i have 2 definate males, possibly another i would like to try to make hash or something out of them. there is minor trich production on all the leaves, and the stalks are hella thick and sparkly. normally i would kill em outright, to prevent polination.

waterd 2 gallons today, nute ratio of 3 ml grow, 3 ml bloom/ gal
was amazed at the roots on the guy i pulled last night, very very dense, but not bound so thats good news for the rest of em.so now that i have fewer plants, the ones i have l;eft should grow much bigger than they would have if all had been females. silver lining, trying so hard to find it....

Ever think about collecting that pollen, put it in a jar with a desicant and freezing it for future breeding?
Hopefully that root mass was a pristine white color too.

i was surprised how white and healthy it was, wanted to take a pic, but dont have a cam right now, very healthy, makes me smile about the others, as ive wonderd a few times if they were bound, or stunted. i pulled them before they had a chance to start forming pollen i believe, just had the first set of sacs, generally only one per branch, just enough to tell a distinct difference from the pistols of the females, i check em about every 2 hours, so they didnt get much of a chance to make any pollen yet, but i did think about it, even had a large piece o glass and credit card ready to try, but nothing came off.

1 female Jackie-O, 1-25-jackie-2.jpg1-25-jackie-1.jpg1-25-jackie-3.jpg

2 female labella, supposedly fem seeds, this one was only lst'd 1-25-labella5.jpg1-25-labella4.jpg1-25-labella6.jpg1-25-labella2.jpg1-25-;abe;;a lst1.jpg1-25-labella3.jpg1-25-labellamain top.jpg

im not posting pics of the other one because it is embarrassing, she is root bound, over nuted, and the bucket feels full of mud, but she is a fem,

You shouldn't have to water but every other day. Twice a day is way to much.
The strange looking leaves on the Cred is because that's a landrace sativa. Most people work with Indicas and crosses. Once progressed, you'll also notice how this plant bushes out as much as up. Makes for a good yielder of smoke that won't couch you out in the daytime. If you were around in the 70's, it's a weaker version of Cgold but still gives munchies and not as much giiggling.
The TWOG is coming along typical, you may even have time to germ a few more if your numbers allow it.
I find the LS very interesting. What's her story? I like the way she grows.
The JackiO will fill out more as she grows, she's a descent yielder.
Of the 4 strains you have it'll be an interesting and educational grow for you. You'll be dealing with a pure sativa (Cred), a pure Indica (TWOG) a mix in the JackiO and I suspect the LS is too. As they grow, note the differences in the leaves and stem structure. By the time you're done, you should be able to point to almost any plant and determine whether it's a sat, indy or cross. You've already noticed the difference between the fat TWOG and the skinny Cred leaves. I've taken care so theses should all finish at about the same time. Will stay on this journal and follow you.

the ls is a robust grower, after about a week in soil it had an actual trunk, not a stalk, it grows very fast, i lst'd one and topped the other so i could see wich worked better in my tent scenario, she bent easy and seems to prefer the lst to the topping, the untoped girl seems to be much thicker, healthier, and has more tops. she dimpled and split, but sealed herself off before i even had a chance to tie the stem together ( thats what i WAS going to do, but didnt have to.) yeah, she's a cros, dont know the ratio, but from the smoke, i would say more indica dominate.

i only water about 2 times a week, lol, not a day. and then i only water until i have runoff, and only when the bags are light. sounds dumb but i keep a bag full of soil now to judge the weight of dry/ wet. because i had a problem with overwatering in the begining. now i just have these horrendous heat issues, so they are expiring water at a bad rate. think i might dial my nutes back a wee bit to help with that. only giving a folir spray once a day now, just before the lights go off, as researchkitty suggested.

afterthought, when i topped the first ls, i noticed that it was hollow? i mentioned this to pot4pain, thought it was weird, i compared this to the males i killed yesterday, they were solid in the center. i could stick an inkpen INTO the stem of the LS, without touching anything. i didnt lol, but could have.

You'll probably notice the JackiO will do that too, I'm guessing that's the reason they take off so quick.
JackiO- hollow
Cred- solid
TWOG- I don't remember

The hollow stems will clear out quicker though. The drawback is their structural integrity.

okay, havent been able to load riu for past few. unhappy update, the jackie-o, was actually male in disguiese. pulled him yesterday, took some pics of the roots though,

1-27-roots.jpg1-27-roots2.jpg

healthy, i noticed the roots owuld whorl around the drainage holes, is there a specific reason they do that? greenbud13 and i think (guessed) its because their might be airflow?
uploading pics from today, got 2 of them before the light came on, they show the color nicely, no judging on the yellow, bagseed. its had a very very rough life,

1-28-over3.jpg1-28-overview.jpg1-28-over1.jpg1-28-over2.jpg

here is labella 1- lst 1-28-label5.jpg1-28-labela3.jpg1-28-labela2.jpg1-s8-label4.jpg1-28-labela.jpg

i like how she ( still no definate sigs of sex, are fem seeds different in their sexing?) grows. lots of tops, and maintianing an even canopy, all ive done is tie it after it was gettin too close to the light, then re-tied the true top as it grew, so have 8 "tops" and alot of minor growth. very pleased, might jump in lake if turns out male.

heres the topped labella, taller, stretchyier, only 4 tops.

1-28-lbtop1.jpg1-28-lb top.jpg1-28-lbtop2.jpg

pause.

ok im back. gotta try to remember wher i was... going to have to tie the topped labella today.

man i was in a hurry and forgot to ring my cam with me, only have 2 pics of the cred still have the claws, but was told to worry more about the new growth, and it seems healthy, i think i need to stop mixing the grow nutrients into the mix.
1-28-cred.jpg1-28-cred1.jpg

should i trim off these yellowing fan leaves?

the lst'd labella man ... wtf. i thought the feminised seeds were suposed to be , well females.. trying to get 4 clones asap to just put into flowering to take the place of all the males ive pulled, as now i only have, 1 cred, 1 labella strawberry, one twog and one bagseed. depression is setting in, thank you Greenbud 13, brought over some whiteBerry. so not as upset as i was. peace guys. be back later.
