growing your own shrooms

Recently I have been looking alot in fresh grass, mulch, and in the woods for shrooms. I haven't found any that get bluish at the stem or any bluish spots.
I' m getting tired of looking, sowhat if i got some horse manure, mixed it with wood chips or hay, left it under a shaded area and watered it 3 times a day? would I get any results?

mycelium must be present underground for mushrooms to grow so i doubt you would have any results with mixing substrates without any spores or mycelium.
