hey, hows it going everyone?
im a first time grower who started out germinating seeds just for fun and this quickly turned into an obsessive hobby, my plants are now about 4 weeks old. Two of the plants i started from seeds and another was given to me by a friend who couldnt keep it and it wasnt in very good shape, i would like to post a couple pictures to get some feedback on what people think i have done a little research for conditions and here is a quick description of my setup, i have 7, 26watt cfl lights mounted above the plants and are easy to adjust, a box fan circulating air and keeping temperature down, the floor and a little of the walls in the closet have foil on them (i will put up more). I heard that a good temp was between 70 and 80 degrees with 73 degrees being ideal, my digital thermometer in there under the lights is normaly between 72 and 77 degrees. I have been watering them with filtered water from one of those PUR water filters and adding a less than recomended amount of 10-15-10 plant nutrients(not sure if thats the best but its what ive got). The lights and fan are on a timer, it turns off at 11:30 pm and back on again at 4:30 am. my two plants from what i can see look amazing to me, pretty bushy though, and my friends plant when i got it was very yellow with thin long leaves that had spots and were currling off, in just two days of having it, it has sprouted new leaves and the living ones are turning greener, its a scrangly skinny little thing but i dont wanna let it die and bum out my friend because like me he is totaly into his plant just doesnt have resources available to make it grow

sometimes the best learning comes from just going out and trying something. best to have a plan though or you end up losing out in the end. But i'm pulling for you bro, hope you get giant buds!!!! :blsmoke:

im workin on some pictures, just got figure out how to upload them, would u recomend just white walls instead of foil? i dont know exactly what is meant by "hotspots", just areas of higher heat than others i assume. but so far the temperature has worked out well with no overly hot areas. any critisizms on other parts of my setup would be appreciated. thanks a lot and ill try to load those pics soon

The temps sound good. Hot spots are caused by bends in the foil that focus a lot of light on to a small point like when you use a magnifying glass to focus the suns rays. I hear people leave their walls white or hang up computer paper to reflect the light if they can't find reflective mylar.

i believe the color temp of the lights i have now is 6500k or daylight color, i heard it was good for veg and something like a 2700k or soft white was good for flowering (when using cfls of course) im having trouble loading pictures by the way
