I live at a place where pot grows wild! :hump: no kidding basically because nobody really cares about this "Green Gold" here. Since i never grew this stuff i been observing the plants quite carefully this season. I have a few questions ofcourse

-Is there a way to look at a plant ang guess how potent its gonna be?
-When would be a good time to dry some and test em out? (what month i mean) or could i just cut a few anytime?
-Can i make them more potent?
-Will i see crystals or are those special kind?

I just have this leaf pic, accrding to the guide it is female plant is that right? and does that mean this would be more potent than male!

yes you will, but not on that thing

throw that leaf out, you cant sex the plant from it, and generally you dont smoke male plants...just female

Most wild weed is ditch weed. Cut the shit down before it ruins someone's crop. Most likely you will get a head ache from smoking it. Ive seen alot of ditch weed growing in Arkanas when visiting friends and famliy.

What motox said is right but That leaf looks 100% sativa, or sativa dominant. That stuff will give you a pretty good head high. You can check the growfaq on sexing to see which ones are female and which ones are male. A male plant you cannot smoke, since they produce little to no THC. a Male will produce small sacs or balls that have pollen in them, a female will usually have little white hairs on all of the internodes(the place where the fan leaves split off the main stem).

No-one said that. Can you get a pic of the plant? What kieahtoka said has alot of merit, I'd love to (a) see a pic of that plant, and (2) know where about you live?
Peace

what would help is if you went around looking for male plants and cut them all down and destroyed them so they dont pollinate and ruin the rest of the females, keep an eye on them until october and then cut the stickiest ones you can find

It's gonna be real hard to destroy every male within a 2 or 3 mile radius of the females.. chances are you'll miss one of them that's mixed in and it will pollinate them all. Talk about a lot of babies from one daddy eh?

In high school we had a forestry class. For some reason the school forest had a high concentration of cannabis plants. I had the class first semester, which put me in that field during prime harvesting time. I've never seen so many huge plants. It was like a forest of pot. I knew better than to try and smoke it, but some of the stupid kids thought it would be cool the pick it and bring it home. One night I was at a party where some of those stupid kids were smoking it. All they got were headaches.

The problem with ditch weed is control. When you grow it, you have ultimate control over the environment, strain, pollination, feeding...etc. Most outdoor growers have a lot of control over their crop. But the stuff in the field is just natural. No grower has tended too it, its obviously not going to be a recognized strain. Bugs, birds and other animals have had their way with it. You could probably harvest it and get a half a ton. But unless you're selling it to some high schoolers, you're probably not going to get much for it.

Mother nature didn't put it there. Most ditch weed was placed by our governments to cut down on cultavating the good stuff. Place a bunch of low thc levels hemp strains left over from the hemp industries of the 1940's, and crops everywhere fail due to being fucked a 1000 times from the crappy males.
