this makes no sense.. its just going to grow up towards the sun. obviously
you my friend must have never been close too a fully budded plant, those top can get so heavy that they snap in half -in nature the plant has way more veg time to develope thick stems and also they have other closeby plants of equal height to lean up against - outdoors stem can get as thick as your arm and as tall as 12+ feet - adn indoor grower sometime ,well, most of the time tie the plants up, or to sticks
so yes it is possible for the plant to atempt to grow up but with every water the wieght will also increase causeing the plant to grow down as well as produce more side branches which is a +
look at those tomato that they grow like that, its a vein but do to it trying to grow up it start to shoot out more side branch to counter balance growing upside down
this should just be looked at as a form of LST- but there are to many hater on here to see it that way - this guy is taking his time, his money, his plant, his thread, his land to do this and i +rep him for it, sit back and watch you may learn something:finger:

As I remember, the main respondent to this thread(That 5hit)also thought that the idiot who wanted to feed his plants vodka, was also "on to something".Whenever one of these"Let's do stupid things to our plants and see what happens"threads...he's right there.

It's dissapointing about all the drama created in these threads. My thoughts are that MJ growing is a horticulture science...key word...science.
When this science is applied to MJ, people may expand on their grow efforts...i.e. selling (commercial grow) or personal use. When someone is curious about a specific way to grow MJ (whether you may agree or not) I feel it's important to respect the fact that they are willing to try another method. If adding vodka is their m.o. then let em' try it. If they fail, no harm done and they've learned from their errors, and we gain the knowledge it doesn't work without having to lose a viable seed. A good technique that was discovered this way is the "FIM" technique...literally translates to "Fuck I Missed." If that grower hadnt done this and reported that result, none of us would have gained the advantage of this technique to apply to our own grows.
People have only been trying new grow techniques for a short spam of time. Imagine what types of techniques will be out there in 2 more decades....
Just my unbiased, scientific view on growing marijuana...thanks for listening to an old man...LoL...

Its your plant, its your property do with it the way you feel.

I believe the upside tom plants were created to rid people of having to deal with their toms touching the ground and going bad.

I say go for it. the only problem i can see is that mj likes to have full sun whereas tom plants like 1/2 sun so to speak. wondering if the planter creates to much shade for it.

Experiments are always good no matter which way you look at it. Its how we rule things out. Life would be boring if we did not try new things.

THANK YOU ALL!

I AGREE WITH EVERYONE

it's my plant, i can do what i want with it.

as for the light sitch.....its almost to the side of the planter, so in a day or so, it should be completely out of the shade.

this plant used to be growing out the side of a pile of dirt....comepletly sideways!

and all the haters gotta stop...is it your plant?
does it call you at home? do you have one of the fan leaves?

The is a large amount of haters on this board i have noticed. Its terrible, why hate on someone for trying something new. If you dont agree or have comments thats fine, but why make a post and then get all pissed off when someone doesnt agree or commend you for what your doing.

This experiment would be a lot more interesting if the guy doing the grow took advice and was not using the cheapest and easiest ways to conduct his experimental grow.In the end this grow is going to show its a waste of time growing in tin cans and trying to produce something nice out of zero money and little effort.I don't think pointing out flaws is hating its good sound free advice.

Experiment, test, guess..... check?

In my grow room I got an ebb and flow table, a DWC, clones suspended in a bucket of nutes..... one, two, three and five gallon buckets:weed:

I am using GH nutes, Local Store nutes, Foxx Farm and a few other country boy nutes.:eyesmoke:

Got LST, Lollipop and FIM happening.

I think it is cool to test to see the limits of growth and yield. Oh yea... thats right Mendal did that whole pea pod thing and showed us how to cross bread ... hmmmmm!!!! :cuss:

I have subscribed to your post my friend! I think that experimentation in any for is still cool as 5hit!!!
