Growing Spider plants

ok my mom's bf gave me 4 Spider plants planted in dirt and I don't know much about growing spider plants. I've read up alot but I have 2 questions to as

1 - Do spider plants like alot of water , water here and there or water once in a while?

2 - Can I grow my spider plants in my grow room using the CFL lights?

Hi there. i was working in this guy"s house a couple of weeks back and he had a spider plant in one of the bedrooms. I thought fuck it and took a cutting.I put the cutting in the back of my van and forgot all about it.About a week later i was looking for somthing in my van and found the cutting looking rather sad (no water for a week) so when i got home i planted it in a pot give it a drink and left it in my grow with the bitches.
It"s doing fine now.Spider plants are hard to kill and anyone can grow them.They are a peice of piss to grow. and yes they like lots of water.

so would they do well in my small grow area that I'll be using close to 200w of CFL?
