Growing season

When does the growing season begin in North America ? I was wondering when is the best time to plant, seems like october is the harvest month.

New when it comes to doing anything outside.

How far apart should you space your plants ? 1 every mile ? Plant them all together ?

Just give me some of the basic facts so I don't get harrased for doing some newbie thing thing that everyone laughs about, and have to have the pot ninja come and save my a$$.........

I would germinate them inside for a few days and as far as outdoor planting just make sure your area's nite time temps dont drop below 60-65 degrees. If your somewhere rural i would put them fairly close(within a few acres) and if possible on the south side of a treeline or woods(north end of a field). This area will maximize your mid to late day lighting and minimize having them seen.

++++rep for you and the excellent advice, now I have to go back and read up on the thread about keeping the deer from enjoying a salad for lunch.

depends on if the garden is in a "flyover" zone that the cops monitor for weed, if you dont have any flyovers then you can easily get away with more plants in your area. Just make sure they are off trail so people dont "stumble" upon them

Dude, I'm in the midwest USA and I'm going to put mine outside about this time next month as far as deer, moth balls work well for me along with predator's piss including your own urine, pet hair too works!

piss all around that shit!!!!

We outdoor folk are much more patient and skeptical than the indoor jobs, we have so many variables, and as far as I'm concerned, better results when obtained ...,
