Im worried about the living organisms in the soil. Can they survive and thrive in these type of temps? Im disabled and the only space I have now is in a 4x4 tent in a cold Cailifornia garage, non heated, space heater is not an option. My cfls will generate a lil heat within the tent. Buuuuut will the bacteria in the soil be okay or is this just too cold to have a healthy organic grow?

Most important soil biology goes dormant below 50 degrees. Need more heat. Best possibility I can think of is autoflowers in an old freezer. Autoflowers can be run under your CFL's 24/7 that will keep the heat going. The freezer will keep most of the heat. You will need to vent it for air exchange.

I have clones sitting in small plastic bottles in some old miracle grow potting mix I still have. I prefer to finish this grow with Kellog's Patio Plus soil mixed with Espsoma Garden tone. I need to buy more soil but dont know if the bacteria will thrive so the plant can grow or am I setting up for failure? Or do I really need to just buy another miracle grow bag cause that stuff apparently isnt effected by the cold weather
