Hey guys and gals. I am starting my second grow from NL and BlackBerry feminized seeds that I bought online. I am going to start 2 mothers of each strain and proceed to growing 8 plants a crop in a homemade aeroponics system.
Currently, I have a single mother of NL that is about 2 to 2.5 weeks old. She is growing in a 3 gallon bucket, bubbleponics setup under a high output 4 bulb - 2' fluorescent light fixture. I am using 75/25 RO/Tap water. I read that if you sub a little tap for RO it helps maintain pH. And at 25% tap water I still get a reading of 0 ppm.
Well the first mom has been shaky to say the least. I posted progression pics below of what I believe to be a phosphorous deficiency. Initially, I thought it was a calcium deficiency but I am already using Cal/Mag. I upped the Cal/Mag from 1ml/gallon to 3ml/gallon but the issue worsened. I checked out this website here http://www.growweedeasy.com/marijuana-symptoms and I would say I am now about 95% sure it is phosphorous deficiency.
I started the plant at an 8th tsp/gallon, which is half the bottle's recommended dosage for seedlings. Needless to say I have added more nutes and topped the plant to allow branching for clones.
The purpose of the post is to get some nutrient advice from anyone who has grown the strain. It seems to be a bit more finicky than the bagseed I used on my first grown.
04/08/2014 (I circled the first tiny brown spots that showed themselves after about a week of being in the bucket. Being this small and after a little research, I figured the issue was a calcium deficiency)
04/10/2014 (From the top she still looked pretty)
04/11/2014 (Only one day later and the issue got this much worse and I was still thinking calcium deficiency)
04/15/2014 (And this is how she looks as of today. This is about 3 days after adding a bit more nutes. The top is standing up nice and the branching is moving along)
